BEFORE

On the night of the full moon, a magical and dark evening, I witnessed my father departing into the woods with horses and his attendants for a hunting expedition. Little did I know that it would be the briefest glimpse I'd have of him. It was late, and I was urged to go to sleep, but my desire was to stay awake until my dad returned. However, I was compelled to sleep, so I reluctantly complied. The following morning, my dad had yet to return. Days turned into weeks, and then months passed without any word about my dad. The prevailing belief was that he must have fallen prey to a wild animal.

Upon my birth, my father confronted a pivotal decision: he had to choose between my survival and that of my mother. Despite the deep sorrow of losing my mom, he opted for me, envisioning that I would inherit his throne. I never had the chance to see my mom. My elder sister, Dorothy, was my constant companion. 

The night my father departed for a hunting expedition in the woods marked the last time I saw him—his fateful demise. Three months and thirteen days later, Charles, the closest servant and more of a friend than a mere attendant who had accompanied my dad on the ill-fated hunting trip, returned. He brought the somber news that my father had been killed by rebels, and he had been taken captive but managed to escape from their prison.

My father's childhood friend, Marcus, harbored ambitions for Dad's throne and sought to seize control of the entire kingdom. Unbeknownst to my father, he viewed Marcus as a loyal friend and was unaware of the betrayal that lurked within. When Charles finally confirmed the treacherous news to my dad, he was incensed, leading to the declaration of war. The conflict involved 7,850 people on my dad's side and over 9,000 on Marcus's. He won that war and captured the two parts of Cenij - Kizelmet and Linard. 

My father passed away when I was 16, and Dorothy was 19. Following his death, Charles assumed responsibility for both of us. His daughter, 'Beatrix,' and I have been inseparable best friends. When I turned 10 I was given the responsibility to handle the throne. Yes, I was the king now.

Cenij used to be our kingdom before the war was fought but after the war, Kizelmet and Linard were theirs, and Abrigenta and Zetzia were ours. The rebels wanted the whole kingdom of Cenij, they wanted to capture Abrigenta and Zetzia as well. 

During the coronation day, I gave my words to everyone that we would reclaim our entire Cenij, encompassing both Kizelmet and Linard.
