"Hey Puddles," Matt says with a smile.

Cameron saunters over to him, "How are you?"

"I'm good, how are you?"

"Good! I hope it's okay that I'm here."

Matt nods as Cameron leans against the banister next to him, "Of course it's okay."

"So, what's new?"

Matt chuckles, "Oh not much you know."

"I watched a few of your games. You're a star." Cameron takes a sip of her beer.

"Thank you." Matt pauses, "You watched my games?"

"Yep. Turns out, getting over you was harder than I thought it would be."

Matt stops drinking to look over at her, "Cameron, I'm-"

She stops him, "Don't apologize. You honestly don't have anything to apologize for. You were honest with me. I can't really fault you for that."

"You have every right to hate me."

"See, that's thing, I don't. We had a summer fling, and I'm glad we did."

Matt smiles, "Me too. Meeting you, it kind of changed things for me."

Cameron angles her body towards his, "What do you mean?"

"I mean, before you, I wasn't really sure if I was cut out for the whole relationship thing, and being with you kind of showed me I could."

"Of course you can. You did a great job of it with me."

Matt chuckles, "Okay, enough of the heavy stuff. What's new with you?"

"Matt!" Someone shrieks, making Matt jump.

Bethany runs onto the patio, "Landon cut his hand. Where's your first aid kit?"

Matt looks dumbfounded, "Umm, I have no idea?"

"What!" Bethany shouts.

Cameron steps around Matt, "It's in the master bedroom. I can go grab it."

Matt isn't sure who is the most uncomfortable, Cameron or Bethany -- Or Matt.

"That'd be great, thanks." Bethany says, a little sharper than usual.

"Where's Landon?" Matt asks her.

Bethany just stalks away and Matt follows her. Landon is sitting on the front porch, blood gushing from his hand.

"What the hell happened?" Matt asks.

Landon sighs, "I was just cleaning up some bottles and I dropped one of them, didn't pay attention as I was picking up."

"Does it need stitches?"

"No, I'm good." Landon says.

Bethany is fussing over his hand when Cameron shows up with a basked of medical supplies. Matt shouldn't be surprised, his Dad's a doctor, of course they have this kind of thing. He doesn't know how Cameron knows where to find it.

Matt and Cameron stand back as Bethany cleans the cut, dresses it delicately and then wraps his whole hand.

"Keep an eye on that. It's pretty deep, so it might get infected easily." Bethany orders.

Landon chuckles, "It's fine Bethany. Thank you."

Bethany glares at Matt on her way back into the house. Cameron sighs, "I am very clearly not wanted here, I'm going to take off."
