"Wah!" (Y/N) squealed. She rose from the bed. Her mind was very fuzzy from the events of yesterday.

"Oh, that's right. I'm at that monkey's house." She muttered. Wukong had brought her to stay at his house. The man said it would be safer.

Suddenly, the door slammed open. "Hey, are you awake? Morning." Wukong shouted. (Y/N) struggled out of her sheets. "I'm awake!" She declared.

(Y/N) stared at the man in front of her. Sun Wukong wore a large black sweater and dark jeans. It was different from his usual kimono.

"Hmm?" Wukong hummed. The woman noticed and looked away with a red tint to her face. "Y-you're wearing normal clothes." (Y/N) said, shyly.

"That's called stereotyping. Gods live in the modern world, too, you know." Wukong deadpanned. He walked out the door, whistling a tune.

(Y/N) was now stuck in her thoughts. The kimono he wore yesterday suited his surreal identity, making him seem as if he came straight out of a fairytale.

'He did say his name was Sun Wukong. Like the monkey king from Japanese folklore. He is real. Does this mean other gods exist, too?' Her mind raced with thoughts.

It was hard to believe he was right in front of her. "Breakfast is ready, peaches." Wukong yelled. The smell of steamed rice hit her nose.

(Y/N) walked into the kitchen to see the man sitting at the table. There was a variety of steamed veggies. She took a seat across from Wukong.

"Alright! Let's eat." Wukong clapped joyfully. (Y/N) said her thanks to the man. She raised the bowl of rice to her face.

The steam hit her face. It felt like she was finally back in the real world. (Y/N) slowly began to eat her food.

Her vision started to feel fuzzy. For an instant, she could hear the sound of the train echoing around the gloomy platform from yesterday. But it sounded so far away.

She had no idea if Sun Wukong looked her way. He didn't say anything during our meal.

A tear slowly ran down the woman's face.

"Can I ask a question?" (Y/N) asked. Wukong was on the balcony smoking a cigarette. "Hm?" He acknowledged.

"Isn't it strange to mate with a human? I mean, we are very different." She said while sipping a cup of tea. Wukong side eyed the woman.

"Hm. Gods could care less about species or gender. We live very different lives. When you live as long as we do, you stop caring about the little things." He explained.

"Everything is so strange. I'm not sure what to think of this situation anymore." (Y/N) responded. Suddenly, a monkey appeared in her face.

"What the hell?!" She squealed. The monkey giggled at her. "You could warn me before turning into a monkey." (Y/N) yelled.

"As you can see, this will become your new normal now." The monkey spoke. He put on a goofy smile at the woman's cute reactions.

"In any case, I live a normal life in the modern world. I may call you my mate, but I won't do anything you don't like." Wukong said.

'How is this normal?' (Y/N) deadpanned. There's nothing normal about humans turning into mythical monkey gods.

"For now, let's think of each other as roommates connected by fate." He smiled.
