Turning his head to look at the person who spoke, he internally groaned, it was one of the superheroes, from the blood red cape and elegantly braided pink hair, it was the second ranked hero in the world.

Cyberknife, leaning against a building, a huge battle axe next to him.

Nightmare just scoffed,

"Not like you could do any better" He muttered

Cyberknife was trying to feign nonchalant but Nightmare could tell that he was intimidated, the forced expression of calm plastered onto his face, despite the mask that was covering most of his face, depicting a pig, or hog of some sort, tusks jutting out.

Cyberknife's suit was, interesting to say the least, on top of the boar mask, only covering the bottom of his face there was a shiny golden crown, crimson red cape that flowed out behind him, fur lined the edge. The cape was more majestic than the one wearing it, in Nightmare's opinion. The cape was held on by a golden clasp,

"Words to the wise, Cyberknife, don't fight when you're scared." He said

Nightmare turned back and started walking. He heard the axe being picked up and sighed, the thumping footsteps made him draw his axes and turn. Cyberknife's axe was whistling towards him. To any other person this would be as fast as lightning. To him, it was slow.

Clumsy.

Too powerful to turn

...

Come on, pup, you see his weaknesses, take him out, show him who's the real one.

He sidestepped and slashed at the hero with his own axes, blocking the superhero's axe with his own with ease. He kicked him in the stomach. Cyberknife bent over, clutching his stomach. Nightmare's hand went to his gun and halfway there he decided to go to his knives, the firearm being too loud to not attract anymore unwanted people.

To give Cyberknife some credit, he recovered pretty quickly, raising his axe once again,

"I just wanna get out of here, no injury caused to you, Cyberknife" Nightmare said

The man raised an eyebrow, "Cocky, aren't you?"

"Only because i'm allowed to now" Nightmare muttered under his breath, internally smacking himself for being too careless, the hero probably had mics on him.

Rash

Relenting

Undisciplined

Weak

WEAK

A voice screamed in his ears, his gaze sharpened, a ringing overtook his ears. Not letting himself speak anymore, he dashed at the hero, buildings blurring at his sides, with his speed it seemed impossible to aim with knives, but he was raised to, or he would be dead.

Using his speed he rolled under Cyberknife and slashed at his legs as he did, rising and turning back to face the hero. Cyberknife fell to the rough asphalt, Nightmare walked over to him and knelt beside him,

"Like I said, don't fight when you're intimidated by your opponent, It makes you sloppier, Cyberknife" He taunted

Cyberknife growled in response, Nightmare kicked him sharply in the head. He grunted. Nightmare's eyes started to glow, piercing green eyes flickering with red, the blood of the ones that he had surpassed, murdered to claim his place.

He extended his hand, a deep red seemed to flow off of Cyberknife. The assassin recoiled at a hoard of voices, screaming for blood. His body started to shake, shuddering at the weight of the power, the memories it had brought to him. Nightmare severed his connection.

He swung his axe, the flat hitting Cyberknife in the head, knocking him out. After making sure he was out, Nightmare searched him for microphones, he found one. He didn't know what was stopping him, but he didn't remove it like he did a camera he found.

He wanted to be known, he wanted to be selfish for once, for once in his life.

He left the man to his comrades that were sure to show up sooner or later, and he backed up into the shadow's, vaulting a fence and climbing a rooftop and fled from the scene. His neck prickled at the feeling of being watched. Someone was watching him from a hidden camera, the man behind it rustling his black wings, unsettled.
