As the fog cleared, the yellow eyes gave shape to the body of a man. The man was tall and muscular. He had on a small jacket with no shirt and loose fitting pants with no shoes. He had tattooed lines marking all over his body, from his fingertips to his torso to even his face. He had short pink hair and pink lashes framing his yellow eyes as he narrowed them at Tanjiro and then widened in slight surprise at Yuki.
"Quite the reflexes you've got for a woman. I thought I had him," the demon yelled at her.
She narrowed her eyes more, Gizmo growling at her side showing his large teeth, "you thought because I was a girl, you would get your way. Looks like your judgement is just as pitiful as your strikes."
The demon threw his head back in laughter, "my you are a feisty one aren't you girl?"
Yuki remained in her striking pose, just knowing at any moment he could come back at them both. She had to protect the innocent people and the young slayers, that she knew for certain. "Why would you go for an injured boy anyway? Seems kind of weak if you ask me," she taunted.
The demon clicked his tongue in annoyance, no one has called him weak in hundreds of years. Not even grown men would dare utter that word to describe him, yet here this small, curvaceous pink haired girl was so bold to do so. The girl looked awfully familiar to him so he decided to humor her and himself for a while. "I thought he would get in the way of our little chat," he said with a smirk.
"Well I have nothing to say to you so you are wasting your time," she growled as she tightened her grip on her blades.
"Well I have plenty to ask you girl. Why do you look so familiar? Have we met before?" He asked with a tilt of his head as he stepped forward.
Her eyes widened with fear for a mere second before returning back to her glare, but even the demon picked up on that mere second and grinned mischievously, "Ah so I'm right! We have met before? But I wouldn't have left a hashira alive, even if you are a girl. A normal slayer maybe but never a hashira, so you must not have been a hashira yet? Am I getting warmer?"
There it was, the flicker of fear again before the return of the stoic expression she had, "I'm right again! Wow I'm pretty good at this game of ours. What is your name?"
"None of your business," she spat.
"Ah that's not very polite. Did your parents not teach you any manners? I'll go first, my name is Akaza," the demon said with a flash of white fangs.
"That would be great to know if I had cared to ask," she said with malice in her tone.
The demon threw his head back to laugh again, "You know, if any other human or demon were to talk to me that way, they would be dead already. But for some reason I find it entertaining when you do it, now why is that girl?"
"Again, none of your business. Are you going to fight me or waste my time because I have better things to do here," she said. The moment the last word escaped her lips, he was in front of her. He reached his hand out as if he were going to throw a punch at her but she was quicker than he thought.
