Saiki Kuniharu, Kuriko's father, came home from work as they were talking. "Hello there! How can I help you?"
Kuriko took a deep breath, sensing her father's intent gaze. "Um... hello. I need to tell you something," she began, the weight of her secret abilities pressing on her.
Before she could finish, her mum jumped in and spilled the details about Kuriko being a long lost memberof the family and a physic.
Kuniharu's initial smile wavered as he absorbed the revelation. "A long-lost family member and a psychic?" His thoughts raced with a mix of panic and skepticism.
Kuriko's mother, Kurumi, continued to explain the situation, sharing the challenges Kuriko faced as a psychic and her desire to reconnect with the family.
Dad maintained a facade of calm, nodding as if he fully embraced the idea. However, behind his seemingly composed exterior, he was wrestling with conflicting thoughts. Is she really who she says she is? Can we trust her? But I would love to have a daughter.
As the conversation unfolded, Her dad couldn't shake the unease settling within him. The idea of having two psychics in the family was both intriguing and alarming. He wondered if this unexpected twist could befit him, and although his thoughts were selfish, he was also an idiot.
Kuniharu's thoughts betrayed his demeanor. If she truly has psychic abilities, this could be advantageous. I can exploit this for my own benefit, just like with Kusuo, and get a lift to work!
Meanwhile, Kuriko, with her psychic abilities, could hear the tumultuous thoughts swirling in her father's mind. He's doubting me. Can I really blame him? But what's more concerning is his selfish desire to use my powers.
Just as the tension in the room reached its peak, Kusuo, appeared in the room with his usual disinterested expression.
"Good grief" his gaze shifting between the family members.
Kuriko glanced at her brother, relief washing over her. She decided to cut through the awkward atmosphere and address her father's conflicted thoughts. "Dad, I can hear what you're thinking. But I didn't come back to cause trouble. I just want to be a part of this family again."
Kusuo, seemingly uninterested in the emotional dynamics, chimed in, "good greif. What she said is true so you can shut up now."
Kusuo then turned to Kuriko, and used his telepathic abilitiesto talk to her "Ignore him."
Despite the strained situation, a faint smile crossed Kuriko's face. "Thanks, Kusuo."
Their dad sighed, "I suppose we have two psychics in the family now. This should be interesting."
As the family continued their conversation, navigating the complexities of Kuriko's return and the implications of her psychic abilities, Kusuo couldn't help but think, This is a disaster waiting to happen. Well, it's not like my life wasn't chaotic enough already.
