The teens. The worst years of my life. I would have traded them for anything. On the farm where I live when you turn 15 you have to work in the fields. That job is pain it's the worst job you can have. You get sunburnt, dirt under your nails. The only plus side is when the owner isn't looking you can sneak a carrot or two. But if our owner sees you he will either kill you, or if your just starting out he will just no feed you for the week. When really your family gives you some of theirs, and if you don't have a family some people in the community will give you some. I'm 14 now and my brother is 15.The other day they sold my brother to something place in Oklahoma. Since we are in California thats a long ways away. Now we are down to 5 people in my family me, my mom, my dad, my big sister, and my little brother. Back to the story. When they first sold my brother it took a tole on our family but, then our owner got another boy the same age. So we took him in since he doesn't have a family here.
