It was dawn, the rain was light as it hit the small tribe. The leaves of the jungle leaves blocked most of the rain from hitting the small houses which hung in the trees. Each house was attached together by bridges, some homes higher and bigger than others. The rain forest was warm but humid, the air was sticky while the leaves were glistening under the sun from the forest rain. There was a sudden knock on the door. Y/n groaned as she rolled around in her bed, hugging the sheets closer to herself as she laid on her side, slowly drifting back to sleep.

It went silent, the only thing being heard was the sounds of rain drops falling onto the roof of her hut. The room was silent, before another knock was heard, Y/n groaned as she stood up in her nightgown. Her nightgown went down to her thighs while the straps were thin, the dress itself was quite thick since they had cold nights. Y/n walked through her tiny hut and towards the door, as she opened the wood door she was greeted by a little boy, Kota Izumi, his hair was a dark black while his eyes were a dark gray. Y/n smiled down at the boy, "morning Kota, what are you doing up so early?" Y/n asked as she ruffled his dark locks, Kota pushed her hand off his head with s chuckle, "I was bored and thought you might have wanted help setting up your shop for the day" Kota said as he fiddled with his fingers nervously awaiting for Y/n's answer. Y/n smiled gently at the young boy, "of course you can help me Kota, give me two minutes while I get ready" Y/n said as Kota nodded, Y/n closed the door and quickly went to her room to get changed.

Y/n grabbed a dress which had a white top and a sage green skirt which went down to her ankles. Y/n put the dress on and fixed it so it looked neater, she quickly put her hair in a messy bun and put her shoes on. She wore boots that went to her calves as she grabbed her satchel and quickly made her way back to Kota who was still standing at the door. Y/n watched as Kota's eyes brightened at her presence alone, Y/n smiled down gently at him as she closed the door and started walking towards her shop. She sold herbs, medicines, scrolls, and books. The scrolls kept knowledge beyond the human mind while the books carried medicine recipes and more information about them, along with others which held information about the very creatures which lived in the forest they lived in, and in many other tribes. Y/n opened the door gently while Kota ran right into the shop, already grabbing scrolls from the back and placing them on the desk. Y/n giggled at the eagerness the young boy had.

While she flipped the sign around, making it known to people that the shop was open there was a thud that came from behind her. Y/n turned to look at where the sound had come from and saw Kota had tripped and dropped a glass jar full of a herb, Y/n sighed as she walked up to Kota and helped him up, "are you alright?" Y/n asked as she checked for any wounds, Kota nodded but his gaze turned to the broken jars. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to" Kota said as he looked away from her, Y/n smiled gently, "it's alright Kota. I had to get more of those herbs anyway. I'll grab two more jars, but in the meantime only bring scrolls and books in here alright? I'm going to go find some more herbs, I'll be back soon" Y/n said as she quickly cleaned up and grabbed her book, which told her which herbs she needed.

Y/n walked out of the shop and made her way across the bridges as she passed by some people. After a little while Y/n started to climb down the ladder and down to the ground as she walked into the forest and away from the village. The walk was peaceful, she enjoyed going to find herbs as they helped her clear her mind better. Y/n touched a few flowers as she walked past them, dragging her fingers gently across the soft petals. She then caught sight of what she needed, Y/n grabbed a handful of mint herbs and continued to look for the rest of them.

After a few more minutes of searching Y/n grabbed the last herb she needed and placed it in her satchel as she started making her way back to the village. As the village came into view so did a group of horses, armored horses, King Enji's guards horses. Y/n started to climb the ladder quickly as she heard the guards not far from her. Once Y/n made it to the bridges she looked across the village and noticed guards were searching everyone's homes. Y/n quickly ran to her shop and looked down to notice Kota was still bringing stuff in from the back.
