September wasn't as warm as the other two months it succeeds, yet it was no where near as cold
As megumi picked up his drink from the vending machine, her heard footsteps approaching making his inwardly sigh, not really being in the mood for social interactions
Until he heard a familiar voice
"Megumi" Remi waved, making her way inside
"Remi.." Megumi said, almost sounding like he was out of breath
"I was wondering where you were" She smiled, Megumi noticing she had her hair down
"I was gonna ask you if you wanted to get some ice cream with me?"she said, now standing infront of him
"Are itadori and kugisaki coming?"
"No, is that okay?"
"You just wanna go, with me?" He asked, trying not to sound silly
"Yeah" Remi smiled, Megumi gave her a hesitant look
"Megumi is something wrong?" Remi asked
"Yeah, we just haven't been out for ice cream in a while" Megumi muttered
That was right, the last time they went tsumiki was awake
"Oh.." Remi spoke "Megumi I completely forgot"
"No no its not that i don't want to because of that, I do want to go in fact" Megumi stated
"I was just worried that now that tsumikis not here, you wouldn't wanna do those things..with me"
"Megumi how do you think I see you?" Remi asked "because you're one of the closest people to my heart, not a backup option,"
"If you ever feel that way tell me immediately because you're literally my soulmate" Remi stated, poking his chest
"Why?" He asked with half-lidded eyes, Demi started to feel like there was a tension in the room she'd previously been missing
"Huh?"
"Remi, why do you care about me as much as you do?"
There was a foreign silence shared between the two as remi could only try and muster up the courage to look megumi in the eyes
"You've been by my side since I came here, you let me read almost all the books on your shelf no matter how long it took you've always been so kind and patient with me"
"I don't think I would've gotten to this point without you, so truly. I'm grateful"
"I relly do admire you! This feeling will never ever change" She shook her head, mehumi feeling the heat rise to his cheeks
"Thats why we'res close" Remi smiled, something about that smile seeming off
