(The screen shows a little puppy and an owl looking at each other deep in the eyes)
Mara: (narrating) Hi! I'm Mara. See that little puppy right there? That's me! That is an owl named Artemis! He's my adoptive father!
Young Mara: Hi Daddy!
Artemis: Marianna where have you been?
Young Mara: I was just runnin' around as always! I beat up a bully ~ !
Artemis: (smiles)
Young Mara: Hey I got you a flower daddy!
(Artemis almost takes the flower, before the treehouse was shot)
Young Mara: Ahhhh!! Daddy!!
Artemis: Marianna stay down! Get away from here, echidnas!
Echidnas: not until you take back what's RIGHTFULLY ours!
Artemis: The Master Emerald?!! Longclaw has that!!
Echidnas: No she doesn't! Give us the Master Emerald! NOW!
(Artemis grabbed Mara and flew away. But, the Echidnas shot an arrow at Artemis's side, making Artemis plummet down to the ground. He quickly turns to Mara)
Artemis: Mara! You have a power like no creature I've ever known. That means someone will always want it. Take these Rings, please, when someone discovers you on Earth, use one.
(Artemis gives Mara some Rings and he throws them. Mara runs through it. She checks to make sure that Artemis came through but he didn't, he was protecting her)
Young Mara: Daddy?!
Artemis: Goodbye Marianna..........
Young Mara: DADDY! NO!!
(The ring portal closes)
Young Mara: Daddy.... No ............
(With great fear, she runs away from the portal, only seeing a robot as she starts to slow down and gets tired)
Young Mara: Wh-What are ......... you? Who ......are.........you.........?
(The screen switches to her POV, as it fades to black, with her barely seeing a man run toward her)
