As Mackenzie arrived home, he noticed an odd sight. He mom wasnt eating in the dining room like they always do? Instead she was eating in the basement...

"Hey dad?" He went to go ask his father
"Why isnt mum eating with us?"

"She's... she's just having a rough night is all."

"What do you mean?" Mackenzie asked again, unprepared for the answer that was about to come

"Alright, listen mack. You're old enough to understand now" His dad spoke as he got down to his level.

"You're mum is pregnant"
"YAY-" Mackenzie was about to cheer before his dad cut him off

"NO. THAT IS NOT A YAY." He spoke sternly while quietly

"Why not? I get to have another si-"

"Its not ours." Mackenzie dad cut him off again

"Its another man mack."

As mackenzie heard those words, his heart sank.

"W-What do you mean?!"

"Listen. We've spoken about the birds and the bee's. Another man had sex with your mum, and now she's pregnant with his baby" Mackenzies dad spoke as tears welled up in his eyes.

"B-But why? Why would she do this?!" Mackenzie hugged his dad as he began crying

"Listen buddy... i-i dont know either. But trust me, we're not staying."

"Wh-What do you mean?" Mackenzie spoke

"As soon as the school years over. We're moving out."

"W-We're abandoning mum?!"

"Listen, its not like that. And i dont know how to explain it to you. But in the mean time, just go pack your bags." His dad spoke as he pat his son on the back and went to the backyard

Mackenzie just ran to his room and did as his dad requested. Putting some clothes and stuff in his bags. But of course, because they're dogs in a dog world, not many clothes are needed. So all he had packed were several hats, beanies, rain coats and shoes for the hot ground.

This was a very emotional time for our black and white protag, and he didnt know if he was ready to share it yet, but he had to come up with a truth for later, they're gonna ask sometime.
