AURORA'S POV:
I wake up hearing light breathing and I can tell its not light out. I swiftly grab my phone, 3:36. I turn the flash light on to see Matt asleep on the beanbag next to my bed.
I stare at him for a minute, making sure I'm not going crazy before I stand up and grab a blanket and spare pillow from my closet. I had no clue why he was in here but I wasn't going to let him stay cold. I place the blanket over him, tucking it in the best I could without really touching him. I manage to slide the pillow under his head so he's a bit more comfortable.
I lay back down, realizing I won't be able to fall back asleep. This wasn't a new issue I had but it certainly got irritating. I push an airpod into my ear to play some music, hoping that would push my body back into its unconscious state.
MATT'S POV:
I wake up trying to cling onto the last bits of sleep I got, the fuzzy and warm blanket providing quality sleep. I lift my head to find a pillow and realize I didn't fall asleep with either of these. I realize Aurora probably gave me these at some point, I smile, looking over to see her sitting at her vanity. Her makeup was done, she had uggs on with jean shorts and a light pink Fresh Love hoodie. She looked good. Like really good.
She turns her head to me, locking eyes. "Hey," She states, grabbing a bottle off her vanity, "I woke up last night and you we're in here."
I laugh awkwardly, "Yeah, Chris kept snoring and I couldn't sleep. I hope you dont mind." I explain, scratching my head, "Thanks for the blanket by the way."
"Its fine, they're always in the closet with pillows if you need them." She explains, spraying stuff in her hair.
I get up and walk to her vanity, looking at myself in the big mirror. "What are you putting in your hair?"
AURORA'S POV:
I set the heat protectant down, grabbing my straightener. "Oh," I pause, Matt looking at me. He's the only one who really makes the most effort to include and talk to me and I really appreciate that. "It's heat protectant so my hair doesn't get damaged." I explain, running the straightener over my curls. I bend it at the end, giving it more of a blow-out look.
"Why do you do that?" He asks, looking at me in the mirror. He glanced away once I looked at him.
"What- oh, style it? I just like it more." I say in a quiet tone. "I feel like my curls look messy."
Matt touches a section of my hair that hadnt been styled yet, "I like them, they look nice."
I smile at him, looking up as I hold my straightener in a bend, "Thank you."
Suddenly, my door flies open to reveal Chris and Nate as they walk in.
"Yooo," Nate says, sitting down where Matt slept. Chris stands by the door, leaning on the frame.
"Hi?" I pause, unsure what they were in here for.
"Matt do you wanna go ice skating later?" Nate asks, Chris looking at him.
I lower my head as I roll my eyes, shifting my focus back to my hair. I style the last piece, letting in gently fall out of my straightener.
"Umm yeah sure." Matt accepts, looking over at me, "who alls coming?"
"Everyone." Chris shoots out, "Arie, ur coming right?"
"Yeah I guess," I speak in a low tone, my head staying held down as I attempt to disregard the fact he said everyone was coming and then decided to invite me.
