The leaves crushed beneath my wounded feet, I had earned several twigs in my feet. As much as it pained me, it also wasn't major. I had avoided the big twigs and such, only the smallest managed to escape my eyes.

"Where is anything around here.." I muttered while I let the vines assist me to cross the puddle of water. It was as fairly large forest, and I wondered why they risked a location in a forest.

Greens can't use their powers unless they touch something of nature, grass or something along that line. Once they did, they can extract its uses and do various things with it.

Were those guards foolish? Then again, they had trapped us for nine years. They might as well be loose with it, or perhaps they thought nothing major would happen since we were so submissive.

The fact only so few survived made me uneasy although.

"Ah.." I stopped when I saw a car. My gaze traced it, and I got closer. I had my fair share of TV's to watch while I was trapped since whenever we behaved well- they'd let us watch TV or even play with toys.

The option to play with toys was almost never used after a few years although, considering our minds grew mature over the years.

I had never seen a car since I been captured, even the ones I seen was faded in my memories after so many years. The touch of the steel and the coldness of it made my eyes sparkle in curiosity.

That didn't last long.

"Raise your hands up!"

My gaze shifted towards the voice. My brown eyes widened at the sight of a kid with a pistol. He aimed it at me and glared, "Who are you?" He demanded with a serious tone. From his looks alone, I could tell he was also around the same age as me. Perhaps that's why I didn't feel intimidated. "I'm Hazel, I'm from that base over there. Some kids managed to escape and me as well." I spoke softly and pointed at the direction. The kid glanced, but stared back at me as quick.

I knew he was being cautious, at least telling by his glare softening. I could tell he was comprehending my situation. And it was obvious I wasn't lying, there was blood on my clothes and it was also the same clothes the military people gave.

It resembled the ones people wore at hospitals.

"Please," I begged. "I need help, I just got out after years. I don't know where to go.." I pleaded with teary eyes. My true emotions steeped through. I felt helpless and alone. The fact no greens escaped didn't help me.

They were either on purposefully aiming for greens or they were slow. Either way, they knew greens was the most dangerous in the nature. Our powers allowed us to use anything of nature with free will, it's almost as if the nature was our best friend against all odds.

"I.." He seemed to fairly loosen up and I could see the guilt in his eyes. Pity for me. "Alright, I'll help you. Under the condition you don't harm us." As soon as he lowered his arms. I launched forward and wrapped my arms around him. He flinched back but didn't do anything.

He could hear my sniffles as I took deep breaths. "S-Sorry-" I stepped back and looked back up at him. "I haven't seen or talked with anyone for awhile." I was including the time at the base. I didn't get to talk, there was only survival. And the ones I seen was cautious, not at all friendly.

He was too but, he allowed me to be with him at least.

"It's fine," he raised his hand and head petted me. His eyes spoke of pity for me as he sighed. "What's your power? I'm electric." He lowered his hand to hold mine. I didn't exactly mind it and walked alongside with him. "I'm green, nature." He seemed to not be as surprised as I thought but confusion stirred.

"Where are all the other kids?" He asked while going over the fallen tree. Likely from a normal circumstances such as rain. It did heavily pour the last few days, however, although now it's sunny as it can be. "Most of them died. Around one or  four lived I estimate." I muttered and glanced at him to see the shock show on his face.

.. It wasn't easy to be told hundreds of kids died, was it? I could've been one of them.

"Sorry," he whispered. I was about to comment on it but he continued. "I shouldn't have pointed the gun at you, you just survived that.." He muttered and I didn't respond this time.

Was it the shock or how used to it I've gotten? I didn't feel anything in particular.

I gave a nod and focused on the scene in front of us. My lips departed to see buildings fallen, some barely held together. Nature taken all of the buildings and the roads was barely suitable for a walk. "What.." I gripped his hand. My eyes glowed a bright green colour while the grass beneath me grew to my back. "What happened?"

..

"Humanity fall."
