My name was Michael Quaider, it was brisk and cold that December morning. I stood there, in the park, just another day, but it felt different. I continued to walk, my bow tie straight, my button down shirt tucked in my long black suit pants, suspenders clipped to the seam. I am a tall lengthy individual, 6'2 in height and 18 in age. I wore gold trimmed glasses, hiding my brown-emerald eyes behind them, my medium length brown hair tucked underneath my newsies cap. It was a cold, brisk winter day, the chill of frost wells over my beard, I walk up to a sign in the park, it read, "Auburndale" I wasn't native, I was here on business, but it sure was a pretty place. It's was almost in the middle of nowhere, In the "Bush" as my dear Uncle likes to put it. Yeah it most certainly wasn't the biggest place, or even the busiest. Although I enjoy this place, I keep coming back, I don't know why. I think it could be I am drawn to this place, be it's silent beauty, or maybe something more, fate, perhaps?
I proceeded my leisurely stroll until I came across her. I stopped in my tracks, I couldn't move, the only feeling was my numb skin on my leather jacket, then, fire, in my chest, a burning love for a girl I hadn't even met yet. She sat on that park bench, her long brown, reddish hair falling to her shoulders, her almond eyes were hypnotizing, her scarf and jacket, lay gently on her silky skin, nose buried in a book. I couldn't stop staring. I swallow, then take a few steps forward.
"Hello Beautiful" I said. Words I would repeat as my usual greeting for her. She responded with a hi and a smile. The frost of the air is visible as the word leaves her perfect lips. "I'm Michael, it's a pleasure to meet such a beautiful girl by chance." she chuckled.
"I'm Stephanie, it's a pleasure to meet such a charming individual, won't you have a seat?" she says with a smile. I take a seat next to her on the bench. I smile, I like this girl already. "New to Auburndale?" she asks me.
"Yes, but just here on business, won't be here long" I reply, her smile vanishes. Then she seems to perk up a bit.
"Do you think you have time to show a girl around before you go?" she asks with a half grin. I perk up.
"I might" I give her a wink. "So Stephanie, tell me about yourself." I smile, she seems flustered, trying to find a place to start.
"I'm a college student, born and raised here, this is my home, and I love it. I'm a little bit of a geek, I love games and such, I love food. I want to open a bakery one day, I also really love Bioshock." she smiles at the last remark noticing the Bioshock logo on my jacket.
"Well then, you seem like a very interesting individual Miss?" I said.
"Gardner." she cheerfully finishes.
"Well then Miss Gardner, I know we just met, but would you Stephanie Gardner, be my escort to my banquet tomorrow evening?" I say with a smile, taking her hand and kissing it. She blushes a bright red and nods, I hand her my card. "Call my tonight," I get up, "I was a pleasure Stephanie, I look forward to hearing from you, by the way your blushing." I walk away seeing her smile, blushing even more. I can't help wonder what she is thinking. I walk up to where I parked, I get in my Prius and turn on the ignition.
