"First stop come on" Ellie's says pointing to the library. Finally breaking the awkward silence.
I just nod silently.
She sees it and it pisses her the fuck off. It was her fault. She could never be mad at you. She was mad at herself.
We approach the library and I get off the horse and tie him to the railings. Ellie follows my movements.
"You go right I'll go left got it?" She asks.
I just nod again.
Ellie sighs in frustration but doesn't mention it at all.
I see some meds and food. Then a lover books and i smile to myself and shove it in my bag.

I look round and don't see it. I reach for my gun and keep looking.
Out of the blue he appears infront of me and lunges on me obviously trying to bite me I scream reaching for my switchblade. Ellie hears the scream and comes running in and shouts "Y/N!!" She comes out and shoots the clicker.
I whisper a thank you,getting back up.
If it wasn't for Ellie I'd be dead.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?!" She yells. I look at her confused "your so stupid you could have died!" She gets closer.
"What I'm sorry! Why do you care?" I start yelling too. I can't figure out why she's acting like this.
"I don't! I don't care about you. I definitely couldn't care less if you die. Your stupidity is bothering me" she yells all these hurtful words and you see the regret in her face. I can see the hurt on her face. She's trying to put on a front.
"Next time leave me to die. If you didn't care you wouldn't have helped. I didn't ask for it!" Ellie's words got to you. Hearing the person you love saying she couldn't care if you died hurts.
"Your so annoying. That's why your alone and your dad left" she yells. She immediately shuts up after saying that. She knows she went too far.
"I know" I didn't expect my dad to come up during this at all. It hit like a million bricks. Especially from Ellie.
I feel tears streaming down my face before I get a chance to control it. 3 years and she is the only one to bring it up.
Which shattered my heart.
"Y-y/n I'm sorry I didn't mean it" Ellie apologised immediately. She didn't wanna say it. It just slipped out. Seeing your tears made her heart shatter into a millions peices.
"It doesn't matter. You've said it now" I say wiping my tears walking out.
Ellie stays still knowing she fucked up. The guilt eats her alive and it feels horrible. She was meant to protect you. And she was the one who hurt you most.
