i groan in frustration looking around the classroom. students were spread out all along the classroom. Laughing and yelling, acting like fucking animals.
I scoff. I mean come on? this is not a fucking circus even though they all look like fucking clowns.
my attention goes to the classroom door as my name is called "Oaklynn and Virginia Miller? Can we talk in the hallway?"
I look at my sister Ginny silently asking her if she knows what this is about. she shakes her head no.
I sigh and follow her out in the hallway. "so.. what's up?" i ask
"Oaklynn and Virginia.." she starts " Your stepfather got in an accident.. your moms on her way here with your brother. I'm sorry girls he didn't make it." she finished sympatheticly, pulling us in for a hug.
why is she being sympathetic? he was a creep and a pathetic bastard who should of died a long time ago.
I mean finally. Kenny is gone.

My mom Georgia and little brother Austin sang before Ginny
"hey" Georgia says to Ginny with a pout
Ginny turns to look at my mom with a 'really?' look." sorry, do you think this song is appropriate for a nine year old?"
" oh please he doesn't understand any of it. Austin what's this song about" Georgia asks Austin
" doing it on the bathroom floor getting caught and lying so he doesn't get in trouble" he replies confidently
"alright go back to your harry Potter game" Georgia laughs
I put my headphones in listening to music while looking out the window

Georgia pulls into a gas station and ask ginny and I to put gas in the car while she is in the gas station
"I can fill it up" Ginny says to me
" you sure?" I ask
"Yes I'm sure" she laughs
she was filling up the gas tank and white cop sees her and starts waking right at her.
Georgia comes out the gas station at the same time.
"hi Mr officer" She smiles walking over to Ginny
He gives a slight nod and walks right past
" that was racist right?" I ask
" I guess we're not leaving that bullshit in the South" Ginny sighs
"Hi Mr.Officer! you sound like a VERY BAD porn" I mock Georgia, covering Austins ears.
ginny laughs and agrees with me
" I could use a good good pat down it's been a while" Georgia says messing with us
" gross seriously just gross" ginny gags
" scarring. im scarred" I say just as disgusted

We arrive at Wellsburry
Ginny looks out the window with a smile on her face that doesn't go unnoticed by Georgia.
" ah you like it" Georgia smiles teasing her
She looks in the review mirror and sees me smiling as well
" you like it to!" She says growing more excited
"it looks like Paul Revere boned an pumpkin spice latte " Ginny groans
" mark my words we are going to run this town"
She was right.
" Run it burn it to the ground flee into the night same different" ginny says
" even the politicians are looking good" Georgia says eye fucking some rando instead of driving
"mom eyes on the road! are you trying to kill us?! " i exclaim
" he looked like a young JFK" she shrugs
" like the desert right?" Ginny asks

we pulled in the driveway. I sat in the car looking at the house.
I looked around the neighborhood until something caught my eye.
a guy around my age with black hair was climbing out his window.
I tilted my head and put my arms where the window should be and walked him walk away.
he looked back and we made eye contact.
"oaklynn, come chose your room." my mom says
I break eye contact with the stranger "okay."
