Chapter 4: A Deadly Road Trip

Draculaura and Clawdeen were still driving, according to the map it would take a week to get to the castle, but Draculaura knew if they didn't stop for anything they could knock out the trip in under 4 days. Draculaura knew they had to stop at some point but all she needed was to make sure Clawdeen stays alive and with her, she still remembered when Clawdeen broke up with her that month... that month.... she gripped the steering wheel tightly, that dreadful month came back to her, the first time this happened, she thought it was her instinct, of course she was just being controlled by Fang. Draculaura was so lost in thought she didn't hear Clawdeen

Clawdeen: babe can we pull over? I have to pee

Draculaura shook her head and said

Draculaura: hold it

Clawdeen: but I really have to go!

Draculaura: Clawdeen, Hold It!

Clawdeen: Do You Want To Keep These Seats Clean?

Draculaura growled, then took a deep breath. she couldn't lose control, she pulled over the car

Draculaura: you have 5 minutes or I'm leaving your wolf butt behind!

Clawdeen: come on you wouldn't leave your little wolf behind

Draculaura: Just Go!

Clawdeen flinched, her ears drooped as she went behind a tree. Draculaura sighed and banged her head on the steering wheel and tried not to scream, this was going to be a long night of driving, yelling and dare she say losing control. she sighed when she felt a stinging pain in her head, it had to be Fang, she quickly locked the doors in case she lost control, she couldn't risk hurting her love.

*locking doors won't do you any favor, I can hear your thoughts I know your whole plan...*

she felt her body freeze up

Draculaura: No, No, No, No!

her arm began rising to unlock the doors but she restrained her arm

Draculaura: I Will Not Hurt Her!

she pushed her arm back down and did her best to stay still

Draculaura leaned back in her seat and sighed in relief

*KNOCK*

Draculaura jumped hearing Clawdeen knock on the car window, Draculaura sighed and unlocked the doors, Clawdeen hopped in. Draculaura didn't start the car she just put her hands on her face groaning

Clawdeen: Dracy? did he try?

Draculaura: yes... I thought if we didn't stop for anything.. we'd be fine, but he can read my thoughts he knows my plans, he's gonna make me mess them up...

Clawdeen wiped the tears from Draculaura's eyes and kissed her, Clawdeen wrapped her arms tightly around Draculaura but Draculaura pushed her off

Draculaura: I don't need a hug, we need to go!

Clawdeen didn't argue, she remembered that month during high school where Draculaura would snap at her daily, she was used to this. it wasn't toxic because Draculaura couldn't control herself... right? Draculaura started the car and they drove off again. Clawdeen was looking at the map giving directions, her stomach growled but she was too afraid to ask for food. soon they were just driving straight and Clawdeen tried to turn on some music but the Radio was broken, she groaned and leaned back in her seat bored out of her mind, she looked out of the window and saw a park, she remembered her and Draculaura's first date, it was walking in a park. she smiled
