Robin was trying his best in resisting the binders that held him in place. He was at the tower's sick bay. The others tied him at one of the beds there, much to his dislike. He wanted to get out. He needed to search for Starfire and he couldn't do so with himself strapped to a stupid bed!
"Raven, let me out of this!" He shouted at the cloaked teen who was sitting comfortably on a chair that was at the side of the bed he was on. The teen didn't seem to hear his plea and just sat there, reading her book peacefully.
"Raven! Raven, are you listening to me?! Let me out!" But the teen didn't budge. Aside from the fact that he had binders to strain him, Raven's powers made the grip stronger and harder to shake off. No matter what move he does, he can't seem to get himself freed.
Raven was focusing in reading her newly bought book. Looking after Robin proved to be a good hobby for her. Aside from not having to deal with Cyborg and Beast Boy's argument about tofu and meat, she gets all the time to herself to relax with the help of her two best friends, Mr. and Mrs. Earplugs.
She had to admit; the earplugs were a brilliant idea to keep all of Robin's relentless bugging and demands out of her ear drums. She didn't want to have broken ear drums once she got out of the room.
She glanced at her side. Robin was still trying his best to get out. He seemed to be shouting something but she had to say sorry to him. She doesn't want to hear what he has to say. After all, she knows what he would say to her. Probably just a bunch of about her to let him out, him going to look for Starfire, and a lot more.
"Save it, Robin. I won't hear you anyway." She told him in her usual tone. She gave him a smirk as she brushed some hair behind her ear, revealing one ear plug to him. She saw him gritting his teeth, looking more annoyed as ever.
She saw him resisting more than ever and his mouth kept opening, uttering words that never reached her ears. She rolled her eyes heavenwards and continued reading. She soon felt a rush of heat from inside of her. Robin's sending her that feeling through their mental bond.
Her gaze fell on him and saw that he was breathing heavily past normal. She instinctively put her book down and removed the ear plugs. Her palm fell to his forehead. He was burning hot! It alarmed her. She immediately got a thermometer and took his temperature.
His temperature reached 40 degrees. He sure has a one hell of a fever. Now that's what she had been constantly telling herself and the other two. That was the reason why they tied him up. It happened just hours ago when he rushed out of the tower and went to search on his own.
Flashback
Raven, Beast Boy and Cyborg had been standing there, watching their helpless leader. They did let him go but that doesn't mean that they won't follow him. After all, Robin does unspeakable things when he experiences too much on something. No offense.
