Chapter 21🖤

The priest start the Vedic wedding . Although it was such a pleasant view, looking at them both , was as if looking at the most ideal couple in the world, but when there eyes moved from the latter to the lad , their hearts accelerated intensely and breathing  uneven. His looks were giving chills down people's spines, His potent gaze that peered at the sacred fire was utterly menacing.

It was time for the real twist
the priest announced for the lad to fill the vivid crimson reddish colour known as the vermillion on her forehand in the parting. For a moment or two there was stillness, he didn't respond. He was sitting there like a serene statue who was unknown of anything , yet known to everything.
Laura hold onto his shoulders as she whispered something quietly, enough for the man to hear.  Understanding He then further extend his right hand and pinched on the vermillion and then......

She shut closed her eyes ,feeling the vermillion  on her forehead , but his hand never came in contact with her skin .She felt as if he sprinkle it on her head while he looked at the enraging fire. She looked at him then at her mother , who was feebly smiling at her.The place filled with merry and loud claps echoed
The priest then continued with his mantras.

While everyone was busy in admiring the bride and groom , Laura silently approach Sophia.
"You should be very blessed to have Jennie marry my son " she continued standing next to her "I never thought someone  as unfortunate as Jennie be the wife  of Kim Taehyung . Its all about her luck isn't it."
" Hmm.. I never believed in miracles, but I do in fate and this marriage is both a miracle and fate."
"Forgive me for this , but miss Laura for me Taehyung is blessed to have my Jennie as his wife." She said in triumph ,looking at her Jennie.The uncanny smirk plastered on Laura's face as she return back to her place.

The holy man now stood up along with the bride and groom. It was the time for the 7vows." The rite of the seven steps is one of the most significant part of the Vedic wedding, involving seven rounds around the sacred fire " explained the priest as he moved Taehyung further and Jennie behind him. The lad started the ritual, while the girl followed him.

They circumambulate around the holy fire , the priest has apprised him to  recite his vows in mind .

The lad move around the fire taking his first vow "
"I will never ever love you"
He took his second vow around the fire
" You are no one to me , just  a stranger whom I am allowing to stay in my house."  He then took his third vow-
" I will never protect you"
Continued he lastly took his fourth vow -
" And I will for always hate you till my last breath"

" And I am sure for everything I have said so far. This fire is the testimony to my every word said for you." His last sentence was enough to show his hate for her, the hate that has grown inwardly, unknowingly due to his valiant ego and stone heart.

Laura afterwards hold Jennie's hand moving her ahead of the man. Now she has to take her vows , she circumambulate round the scantified fire . She took her first vow-
" I will always stay by your side"  while looking at the fire she then took her second vow
"I will always support you at all times" afterwards she took her last vow closing her eyes-
"May all the blessings and virtues comes to you only and all the sins you incur, imputed to me"
At the moment Everyone showered them with flowers petal and sound claps, praying for them to always stay together.

The priest than asked the man to put the wedding necklace A.K.A. the mangalsutra around her neck.
He took it and waited for a minute staring at the nacklace as if asking himself, all the thousands questions that unknowingly meander in his mind.
He put it in a second around her neck. In that second the girl looked at him , his tranquil face, that gives of so  very dangerous vibes, as if indirectly asking her to run , run away  as far as she could from him,but she when looked at her mother who was smiling and cheering for them , her uneasiness fade away and a faint smile visible on her face. With that the marriage completed, they both stood up along with the priest.

The couple has to take blessings from their elders together but the lad move on leaving the girl behind after he Untied their piece of clothes, which were meant to be tied till the girl reached her in laws house.
Sophia approached her confronting her as she asked the girl to move further and take the blessings. She firstly touched her mother in law's feet , seeking her blessings, then aunty Clara and then her own mother, while the lad had leaved the hall already.

"Maa, I will miss y-you " the latter said weeping , while Sophia patted her head , rubbing her back gently she said " from now on , Mrs Kim your mother jen and I am sure she will love you more than I do " she immediately embraced her, wiping her tears.

" It's time for her to leave "
