It's been two years since Leon died and came back a Hybrid. In that time he has awakened new abilities including Elemental fire magic, which Olivia explained that after absorbing Inadu's Magic, the witch who cursed her tribe and created the Lycans, Leon kept some of her power giving him the ability to manipulate the element of fire. Along with that he also gained the ability to telepathically speak with werewolves which he discovered while on a run with Hayley while shifted.
Over time he was able to fully control these new abilities along with his new Hybrid form, which combined his Lycan and Vampire forms making a whole new type of scary beast.
Leon is the only one of his kind and also the last, or maybe he's not.
