~ALESSIA~
It's been a long night. My flight got delayed an hour, but I was not risking getting caught by Andre Volkov alone in Russia.
I keep eyeing my surroundings since I have no clue who Andre really looks like or if any of his men try to jump me I will be one step ahead of them, like I always am anyways.
Since I'm the Italian Mafias #1 Assassin I'm probably on their shit list since we're their top Mafia rival.
I shake my head and go sit down waiting for my flight.
After staring at the wall for about 10 minutes it's finally time to get on my flight and head back home.
I get up, grab all of my bags, and walk to the plane.
I probably look like I just rolled out of bed, which I did. But I don't care. I'm the only person on the plane anyways since my boss owns a bunch of them, he lets me use one.
My flight is going smoothly the first hour until it starts getting bumpy.
"Is everything alright?" I ask a guard.
"Yes. Everything fine, just a little turbulence."
I nod and go back to listening to my music.
A few hours later the plane lands.
I grab all of my heavy bags, and head to grab some coffee.
"Can I just get a iced caramel latte please?" I say to the girl taking my order.
"Is that all?" She asks.
"Yes."
A moment later she brings out my coffee and I go take a seat until someone comes to pick me up from the airport.
My phone buzzes with an alert letting me know someone is here to pick me up.
I grab my coffee and head to the parking lot. Once I get to the car I hand my stuff to the driver to put in the backseat and get in the car.
"Boss wanted to let me know you will be going to a ball for your honor." He says.
"My honor?"
"Yes, since you are our best assassin your father wanted to honor you. You put a lot of effort into your missions for our mafia."
"Oh."
My father is a cruel bastard. When I was younger he was great, but after my mother passed away he's never been the same.
She passed away 5 years ago, ever since then my father has been with multiple women and doesn't speak to me unless it's about business.

I walk to my fathers office, trying to be as loud as I can. Letting him know I'm coming.
I won't deny. I fear my father. He is terrifying, cruel, disgusting, and not somebody I would want to be around my whole life.
Luckily, I chose to leave my home when I was about 16 years old after my mother passed away. He always made her death feel like it was my fault. He never told me how she died so I have no idea if it was my fault or not.
Now I live with this guilt of thinking my innocent mothers death was because of her daughter.
Without thinking about my mother anymore, I knock on my fathers door.
"Come in." He says.
"Hello father, is it true there's a ball tonight?"
"Yes."
I walk out without another word. He's always been so dry and cold to me that it doesn't even effect me anymore. For the most part.
I go into my bedroom and lay in my bed.
A few minutes later a women comes in with a dress and shoes in her hand.
"I have a dress and some shoes for you to pick from for the ball tonight."
She hand me a beautiful red dress and two pairs of black heels.
"Thank you."
She nods and leaves my room.
I look at the shoes she left for me on my bed. Theirs two pairs of almost the exact same heels. One is a little bit shorter than the other.
I pick the shorter ones because they would be easier to move around in.
I grab the dress, and shoes and put them on.
The dress is a beautiful red color, it's silky and goes down to just above my knees. It's not to short and not to long.
I grab my hair straightener, along with some makeup and start to straighten my hair. Once I'm not with my makeup I wait until someone comes to escort me to the limo.
A few seconds later I hear a knock on my door. I walk over to the door to see who I expected, 2 guards ready to escort me to the ball.
I smile at them and begin to walk to the front of the house where the limo is parked.
They open the door and I hop into the limo.
I stare out the window for what feels like a few seconds until I realize the car has stopped and we are at the ball.
"Thank you." I say as I get out of the car.
Walking into the building was a little weird with everyone congratulating me and staring but I pushed through.
"Alessia." My father nods taking my hand.
I shake off the disgust I feel towards him and gently take his hand.
He takes me to a table full of my siblings and men and women I have no idea are.
I smile and take a sip of a glass of water that was on the table meant for me.
My dad walks up to the stage.
"I would like to raise a toast to my daughter Alessia Ferrari for all of her hard work she has put into our mafia." He smiles as he lifts his class.
Everyone in the room raises their places and takes a sip of their drinks.
I just smile and also take a sip from my glass.
I look around but nobody has a smile on their face anymore. Not one person.
So I do the only thing I can think of and turn to what they are all looking at.
There is a man holding a gun towards me.
My throat bobs as I look at the man. I have seen pictures of this man.
This man was known as...
Andre Volkov.
