Quick Note: I haven't seen Teen Wolf, so the characters are based on the fan fiction I have read. However, I might make Peter a better person because of his niece. I also forgot to mention that the beautiful cover was made by ladyarchangel74 Thank you very much!

Talia Hale was shocked when she looked at the pregnancy test in her hand; she was pregnant. She was sure Cora was her last child but was so happy to have another baby. Talia told her husband about her pregnancy, and he was overjoyed to have another baby in the pack.

When the Hale pack found that their Alpha was having another baby, they were ecstatic; everyone except Cora. She was jealous that she would no longer be the baby of the family, but her older sister talked to her and explained that now she would be a big sister and that it was her job to protect their new sibling the way she and Derek watched out for her. After thinking about it for a while, Cora decided to do everything to protect her latest brother or sister.

Derek hoped with all his might that his mother would have a boy. The young werewolf was tired of being the only male in his family. Peter, Talia's younger brother and left-hand wolf, was doubtful his sister should have another child. There were so many problems at the moment with hunters and other packs. The Hale pack needed their Alpha strong, and he didn't want his sister to be vulnerable.

But that was far from the truth. From the beginning, Talia knew there was something special about this baby. From the start of her pregnancy, Talia felt a thrumming in her body. The only way she could describe it was a power she didn't understand and couldn't explain the feeling any better.

A few more months into her pregnancy, Talia began to notice weird things happening. She, like any other woman, started having cravings. When she thought of what she wanted and went to the kitchen to prepare it, the food was already prepared, waiting for her on the table. The weirdness did not stop there. After a while, whenever Talia wanted something, it would zoom into her hand.

These occurrences had her and the pack worried. What was going on? She decided to tell Dr. Deaton what was happening. Dr. Deaton had an inkling of what it could be, but he wanted to do more research. After a few days of research, Dr. Deaton found his answer. He called Talia and her husband to his office; Peter also decided to go. He didn't want to leave his Alpha unprotected.

The group arrived at the Druid's office, and Dr. Deaton asked them to sit down, "After doing extensive research, I think I know what's happening. Have other things been happening lately, Talia?"

Talia told him about the balls of colorful lights that would briefly appear over her pregnant belly and other strange occurrences. Dr. Deaton nodded; he thought other signs were showing. That only confirmed his suspicion.

"Talia, I don't want you to get alarmed, but I think your daughter is a witch."

Talia beamed at the Druid. She was having another girl. Her daughters would be so pleased, though she knew that Derek wouldn't be; he'd get over it. Then it hit her: her child was a witch. Talia looked at Deaton, alarmed, "She's a Wiccan?" Talia asked.

Deaton chuckled and shook his head, "No, your daughter is a core witch, a wand wielder."

"What's the difference?" Peter asked.

"Wiccans are nature witches. They depend on the Earth of their ancestors to access their magic. Core, or wand wielders, are born with a magical core. Their magic comes from within. They need foci to use their magic, hence the wand," Deaton explained.
