Here's the thing — you can't keep choosing someone who doesn't choose you. You can't. Because your person is going to be your person for the rest of your life. Not just when you're young and things are perfect, but when things get messy and you make mistakes and the world is less shiny. You have to make sure that you have someone by your side that wants to be there. Someone who support you, and encourage you. Someone who gives you just as much effort as you give them. Someone who wants to hear your laugh, and make a breakfast with you, and listen to all of your dumb jokes for twenty or thirty or fifty years!
So please, just don't give the best parts of yourself to someone who doesn't see the value in what they are reveiving. Don't settle for anyone who doesn't look at you and know, without hesitation, that they want to stay.
Do not settle for half-loves, do not settle for someone who does not see the values in holding your heart. The people who walk away from you because the timing is not right are simply just the people who are not willing to put the right amount of time into you. Let that be your closure ;)
On a side note — I really thought I meant something to you. But, the reality is you don't want me and you are not mine. I never expected how heartbreaking it would be to let you go. I'm afraid that i'll forget everything about you. The way you talk. The way you laugh. The smell of your perfume. I don't want to forget any of that.
I know that letting go doesn't mean forgetting. But everywhere I go, everything reminds me of you. You're my easiest hello and my hardest goodbye ;)
