Blair Ashley is leaving Chicago for Boston to accept a job at Harvard University and while she's excited, she has to leave her friends behind her and she's worried it could kill her.
She's also leaving her ex the night before.
Her best friend is moving with her, William Wyndham, as he is also accepting a job in Boston and she wouldn't choose to do this with anyone else.
Except when they land in Boston, she finds out a secret of William's life she never knew and wishes she never knew.
