My name is Jade Blakely and today was my sixteenth birthday, I was so excited except for one little thing. The day started off by picking my outfit I picked a blue top to match with my light blue eyes and blonde hair. I picked black jeans to match my blue top. I walked out into the kitchen my mom was there cooking freshly baked pancakes. I had to watch out whenever she decided to cook something, she always did something weird to it, because my mom does not like me. Last time she made pancakes she tried to give me food poisoning, like can you even believe that. The only reason she adopted me was because she wanted her child support payments, but once I turned sixteen she doesn't get paid anymore so I got really worried she was going to kick me out of the house, on my birthday! I finally sat down at the table knowing she was going to say something like pack your bags, tomorrow you are leaving, but she didn't all she said was. "Eat up honey you'll need the calories." She said that as if she had just lost to a person at a beauty pageant trying to force nice things out but didn't sound nice at all. "Yeah, thanks mom I'm sorry I'm under weight a little but you cant cook." I said that as if I had just lost an argument and am trying to say sorry but I don't really mean it. I expected her to jump up and send me to my room, or smack me as hard as she can, but she did nothing but simply say "All people can cook honey." her voice didn't sound right she was trying to hard to be nice." Ok all people can cook I guess I can agree with you on that, but that doesn't mean all people should." My mom looked up at the camera and turned it off instantly after I said that. "Ok Karen why are you being so nice to me?" my mom hates it when I call her by her real name, it was basically equivalent to saying a swear word at my mom. I assumed I was going to be in real big trouble after saying that. Karen looked at me with anger then calmed down instantly I was confused on what was going on, I mean, I knew her name was Karen, but today she was somehow decided not to act like one.
I looked at my pancakes, I saw mold all over it. I decided to just give my food to the birds and tell Karen I wasn't hungry even though I was, I'd rather starve myself to death. I walked outside all the birds were staring at me when I walked out like I'd just got really sick or burnt half of my face off, they were just birds so I wasn't worried too much. I threw the food out where they were, none of the birds moved or stopped looking at me. I got really creeped out by that and jogged back inside. I opened the door and my mom was standing there looking at me like I was in big trouble, I mean like I had just killed somebody kind of trouble. I got really worried. I know I was a little rude at the breakfast table, and I through her food out, but this look on her face made me actually scared, and I rarely ever get scared. My moms skin started to tear and rip I was so confused and scared on what was happening, but I just stood and watched in shock. "What are you looking at it looks like you just saw a g-h-o-o-o-s-t-t. My mom almost sounded as if she were glitching out. she started to say weird things while glitching. My mom finally said something very clear. "Deactivating Mortal affect." She said that in a voice of a robot. I didn't think to much of it right then because I finally managed to run away as fast as I could but when I turned I saw the birds with no feathers dressed in metal like tine cameras shaped as birds. My neighbors were also their as robots. They looked just like Karen. I started to run even faster than I have ever run.
I ran straight down to the barn all the animals were robots too except for the horses I ran to my horse. I was a pretty experienced horse rider and I've ridden them a couple of times bareback at a canter, but nothing too much. I finally got to the stables and to my horse, all of her tack was hanging up by her stable. I noticed the stable hand was a robot too jogging down from the end of the hallway after me, I only had time to put the bridle on so that is what I did. She was very easy to slip the bridle on and she sensed that it was an emergency, so she willingly took the bit. I finally managed to climb on her and start galloping away. I stopped her and turned looking at all the other horses. I hesitated than opened all of the horses stalls. All of the horses liked to stay grouped together so they all galloped beside my horse. My horse was a livered Chestnut Mare named Tuesday with thin but pretty mane and a long tail. She had a sock on he back left hoof, she also had a blaze on her face. Tuesday and I finally reached a clear point with lots of grass and a small river for the horses to drink from. Tuesday was a horse that I felt she could understand me, even though it would be crazy because she was a horse, but that never stopped me from telling her what I was planning to do today, how my life was going, and even when I felt like crying because something had happened I would just tell her what was wrong as if she were even a therapist.
I was sitting thinking on what to do, what had just happened, and if a robot caught me what would they do to me? I then heard something behind make a weird noise a noise I had never heard before, I turned towards the direction of the noise and saw a girl that looked about my age if not older. She was wearing a ripped shirt and pants, but they weren't purposely ripped it looked like she had worn the same close for a month straight. She didn't look like a robot she looked like a regular person like me, but it could've been a trap. So I looked around for Tuesday She was nowhere to be found I started pancaking and yelling her name. Then suddenly the girl started to speak. "I'm right here." said the girl. "Who are you?" I asked "I'm Annie Rawlings." she said that with a serious face, like nothing had happened at all. She showed out of nowhere and made my horse Tuesday go missing, like what changed that is normal? I studied it through my head. Wait, no it cant be, "Are you Tuesday?" I regretted asking that question once I said it because a random girls just going to say, "Hi I am your horse as a human, lets be best friends." like, no, who is going to say that, but its to late now. "No but as a horse you called me that, so technically yes." Annie replied. "How did, what, why, this all doesn't make sense." "I know, I know, calm down, there is a robot nearby, we need to hurry." said Annie "Hurry?" I said confused. "Yes, now come on." this time she sounded a little irritated, so I agreed to follow her. She handed me my bridle that I put on her and said to put it on another horse to go and ride She shifted back to her horse form, while I put the bit in Sophie's mouth then jumped on Sophie and cantered off beside Annie. Sophie was a bay with a star she had a really thick main, tail, and forelock. Sophie also loved jumping and galloping. We slowed to a trot because we were pretty far from where Annie had sensed that robot. We got to a cave opening it was deep, and I was unsure about going in their because a dangerous animal might be in their, but that sure didn't stop Annie from trotting right in I followed her anyways because Sophie did not want to leave the heard, so I basically had no choice when we walked in. We went deeper into the cave while some of the horses started to spook and stay more behind, while others were curious and having fun. Annie started to act up again, I was thinking there was more robots. Annie finally took off galloping even deeper into the cave, I didn't even think a cave could go this deep, but surprisingly it did. I turned a corner and saw cells, they looked like jail cells from the 1600. we suddenly stopped. "What's wrong?" I asked. I finally saw it, it was...
