3:00 AM.

The small, blindingly bright screen of an electronic device staring into the sleepy face of a teenager, proudly announcing the time.

Of course, anyone with any kind of proper schedule would most likely be asleep by now. The teenager is well aware of this, as well as aware that she is no one with a proper schedule at all.

Hazel-green eyes slide over one side of the smooth surface to the other, barely paying attention to the letters flashing across it.

She is tired.
She is tired of being tired.
She is tired of being so tired that she's too tired to feel tired.
She is tired of using the word tired.

Absently rubbing at those hazel-green eyes, she swipes a thumb over the screen, revealing more words she doesn't quite have the attention span to read.

With a sigh she slaps a hand on the side of the device. The glow of the screen fades into darkness.

A few moments later, it lights up again.

Tired, tired, tired.
Too tired to think of a synonym for tired.
Too tired to check if she spelled synonym correctly.
Too tired to fall asleep.
Not too tired to be cranky.

3:32 AM.

How time flies.
