chapter six

Ace groans as he turns his head and opens his eyes to understand what was happening. There was this horrible buzzing sound from the florescent lights above him. Ace grunts as he sits up and takes in his surroundings, he's in a a hospital room with the curtains closed along with the door. "Why the hell am I in a fucking hospital room?" Ace says annoyed before he turns his head to see the door opening and he sees Ganke walk in. 

Ganke laughs when Ace asks his question. "Relax, babe. You've been asleep for a while." Ganke smiles and walks over to Ace's bed. "You had a minor accident a few hours ago but the doctors say there's nothing to worry about." Ganke rubs his eyes and smiles at Ace.

"I just got here, so they woke me up to ask if you're okay." Ganke chuckles. "So are you okay?" He looks down at Ace. "Why are you so grouchy?"

"What the fuck happened? What accident?" Ace huffs feeling frustrated at not knowing anything. "And I don't know if I'm okay? Alright? Also why wouldn't I be grouchy? I went to bed waiting for you to finish showering and I wake up with IVs in my fucking arm and in a damn hospital."

Ganke shrugs. "Calm down, Ace. You're being too loud for a hospital." Ganke sighs and leans forward to pull the curtains open. He looks at Ace as he checks his vitals. "I know, I'm here now. I don't want you to worry." Ganke says softly.

Ganke notices Ace's frustration and sighs again. "I mean...you're alive so you're okay. Right?" Ganke smiles at Ace and puts his hand on his stomach. "You just need to keep it easy for a few days. That's all."

"Calm down? No Ganke, I want answers. Why am I in the hospital?" Ace glares at his lover as he removes Ganke's hand from his stomach. "What happened while I was asleep Ganke? What was the accident that I don't remember, huh? Because last I remember I was asleep in your bed."

Ganke's eyebrows raise. "Woah, woah. Calm down Ace. Let's talk about it one thing at a time." Ganke sighs and leans against the desk across from Ace. "What happened was...well...it's complicated." Ganke looks at Ace and rubs his temples. Ganke takes a deep breath and sighs. "Are you calm? I don't want to upset you further. Just...relax for a moment...please?" Ganke leans forward and puts his hand on Ace's shoulder.

Ace closes his eyes, and he lets out a long sigh as Ganke explains what had happened. Apparently Ace had overdosed without realizing it and they had to flush his systems, so that's how he ended up in the hospital.

Ganke smiles at Ace as he tries to reassure him. He wraps his arms around Ace and pulls him close. "You're okay, babe." Ganke's voice is gentle as he rubs Ace's back. "Is there anything I can get you? Some water? Some food?" Ganke lets go of Ace and sits back again.

"I'm just glad you're okay, Ace," Ganke says softly. "I thought for a second...for a second there I thought that I'd lost you." He smiles gently at Ace. "I don't know what I would've done without you."

Ganke chuckles at Ace's joke and nods his head. "Sure, babe," he says softly. Ganke leans in and wraps his arms around Ace. "I'll even hold you so you feel even smaller." He smiles and kisses Ace on the cheek.

"Let's go to sleep," Ganke says and starts to pull Ace close. He holds him gently and closes his eyes to rest. "Get some sleep, Ace." Ganke smiles. He turns over and nuzzles Ace. "I'll be right here when you wake up. I promise."

Ace nods before snuggling into his boyfriend. "Goodnight Ganke, sweet dreams." Ganke smiles and nuzzles Ace softly. "Goodnight, Ace." Ganke yawns as he closes his eyes. "I love you, Ace. Sweet dreams." Ganke lets his eyes drift shut as he holds Ace. He smiles again before drifting off to sleep.
