"And there's your baby's heartbeat"

A strong thumping sound echoed throughout the room. I smiled broadly, the sound bringing tears to my eyes. I was currently around a month pregnant, being due around September 18th.

Travis squished my hand tightly, giving me comfort. I was worried when I first took the test but over the week I've became excited since all I had was time. TS11 was recorded and the release date was set for Feburary 28th.

We hadn't exactly been trying, but I stopped taking my birth control around a month after we got married. We also hadn't told any of our parents or anyone in general about the pregnancy out of precautions. I wanted to wait until this ultrasound.

"Here's a towel to wipe the gel off." Our doctor, Dr. Reid said "From what we can see, which is very little everything is perfectly fine." She smiled at us, not understanding that those words meant everything to us.

Those words officially made the tears flow, quickly wiped up by Travis's sleeve. "I'll give you both privacy to get changed. Please go to the front desk to do a quick survey when you are ready."

After she left the room I buried my head in Travis shoulder still sitting down. "That ours" Travis said shockingly. "Just ours" I repeated.

"Hey mom!" I was talking to my mom throughout facetime, with the ipad on the couch and me and Travis snuggled up. "So we have some important news to share."

"You're pregnant?"

"Maybe? How did you guess?"

My mom literally started jumping up and down from the excitement of having her first grand baby. After the initial excitement she started interviewing me. "How far along are you?" she asked. "Just around 4 weeks."

"So you don't know the gender yet? Do you have any ideas?"

"Nope to both, don't really think of it as an actual thing and more of an amazingly scary idea."

Travis had been silent throughout the whole conversation, staring into me with his green eyes until he chirped in, "I think it's going to be a boy. My mom has been blessed with enough girls for a lifetime."

"Well sweetie, i'm going to leave y'all to call everyone else, but I recommended you call your dad next since I don't know how much long I can keep this to myself." She said rapidly.

With her advice we called my dad next, who was very unsurprised "I always knew Taylor would have kids, I remember every christmas until she was 7 she would ask for those toy babies and couldn't put them down for weeks." my dad said, making a joke. "1. That only happened for 2 years and 2. thanks for the ramble but we have to call Jason and Kylie, and Travis's parents and grandparents. We have to call our cousins and then-"

"Taylor, why are talking about rambling?" Travis said, not so nicely interrupting me. "Well great to know what you think of your good ole pops Taylor, " Dad chuckled, "but yes, feel free to leave, Talk to you soon." and with that my dad hung up the phone.

"I think I'm going to pass out." I said half jokingly. "Don't stress yourself Tay, we can do this tomorrow morning." It was only 7:19 and I knew that I wouldn't be able to sleep even if I tried to. "'No, I want to tell everyone."

Our call with Austin went around the same as my dad's but with less embarrassment. I felt a little selfish that we hadn't called anyone on Travis's side of the family so we called Jason.

"What's up Travis?" Jason said. The sounds of TV, three girls, and Kylie making a late dinner filled the screen as well as his voice.

"Just calling to tell you some news. Can you round up the girls?" Travis asked. Jason side eyed him before calling everyone in for a family meeting. I could hear the girls foot steps on the ground and my heart swelled up thinking that in around two years those sounds would engulf our life.

"So guys," Travis started "me and Auntie Tay just wanted to say that you guys are going to have a cousin soon." Jason immediately had a huge grin on his face and Kylie looked like she was about to cry. "How are we going to have a cousin?" Ellie asked.

"Auntie Tay is pregnant, obviously" Wyatt said in a duh tone.

"Wyatt you don't have to be sassy to Ellie. Congrats guys, all fun and games till you have two and they end up like these guys." Kylie said. The idea that Kylie thought that we were going to have more than one brought a smile to my face.

Today was a great day.

Psh, no way I would not update for like three months, that's inhumane! But truthfully no one responded to my A/N so i didn't know what to do, but I haven't had school for like this whole week so I figured better late than never!
