By the time you're awake
I hope you read this poem
I'm not quite sure if you can turn this
Into a song

I know fear lurks within the walls of your own home
All I can say is we can build a new one where there won't be any thorns, won't be facing problems on your own
You're stronger than you think
I know this for a fact
You hold universes within
You just have to find it in you
And put your life happily in the right track

Growing up, our parents taught us
We can heal wounds with a kiss
But I'm afraid I can't kiss your heart
I can only snog your lips, your neck, your chest, your hips and every other part

We are far from perfect
We can only try
Do the best we can
As long as we're together
Everything will be fine

Hear I wait patiently
I know life can get tough
Know my doors are open just for you
And when you're ready
You are always welcome to come through
Know that I will always love you
