You're shopping and next thing you know you look up and see someone at the other end of the aisle. Is it someone you went to school with.

"Hey," you walk over . "I haven't seen you in forever, it's been a while, huh" they look over at you.

You see it's not who you thought and immediately stop and apologize, "shit I'm sorry, I thought we went to school together."

"It's fine. Happens a lot."

Smiling awkwardly you walk back to the end of the aisle trying to look for that specific cleaning thing your friend was telling you about. Finally you find it and push your cart to the next aisle.

You're finishing shopping and the store is pretty empty at this time of day. Perfect. No likens no noisy people. You make your way to the only open register and the guy is there checking out. He only has a couple things.

You wait and look at the magazines in the rack. His face on the front and you pick up a house decor magazine pretending not to be interested.
'Grey Day Tour comes to an end'

You put it in the belt and place a separator behind his stuff and start putting your stuff on the belt. There a couple of baby items and the random stuff you needed.

The cashier greets you and you smile back, "do you know how to make a diaper cake?" You ask her and chat about an upcoming baby shower you were invited to.

The guy says good bye and walks away and the cashier, an older woman leans in and whispers towards you about his face tattoos. "He's so young, ruining his gorgeous face."

"They look fine. I saw a guy online in mug shots with some crazy stuff. His are way nicer."
Walking to your car you pass the guy putting stuff in his trunk. Your carts so loud in the semi empty parking lot.

"Excuse me, I um-" he closes his trunk and walks towards you.

"Did I forget something? I do that often," you look at him, your car parked close.

"No I just wanted to ask if you were busy later."

You look at him and then your car, "I'm, no I have nothing really going on."

"Okay well," he takes out his phone and turns the phone to you. "I can text you so we can go get somethin to eat or just talk."

You look him up and down, "in public, with other people around during the day sure."

"Whatever you want," he laughs and that whole experience alone gives you butterflies. You type your number in the phone and hand it back. You saved it into his phone as 'y/n store'.

He looks at it and hums.

"In case you forget."

"That couldn't happen."

"Mhm," you walk away putting your stuff in the car and driving off.
