Tom sat uncomfortably on the bench for about fifteen minutes. He always hated doctor's offices. Actually, he hated everything that had to do with doctor's. They scared the living shit out of him sometimes. He sighed and stared down at the ground. He was shaking but, it wasn't like he was going to get stabbed with a needle. He was just getting his cast off, which made him relieved. It was torture for him to walk around in that thing for about a month.

The door creaked open and an old man walked through it, which Tom assumed to be the doctor.

"Hi, you must be Thomas?" The doctor approached Tom and held out his hand which Tom hesitantly grabbed and shook quickly.

"Yep, that's me," Tom answered shakily.

"Everything alright? You keep shaking," The doctor asked with concern.

Tom looked at the doctor and then down at the ground, shaking his head. "I'm alright, just cold is all," Tom lied and rubbed his arm, pretending to warm it up.

"Well, alrighty then. Lets take this cast off," The old man smiled, showing his yellow teeth. Tom guessed he was a smoker.

The doctor walked over to a cabinet full of supplies and pulled out a round blade with jagged ends. It kind of reminded Tom of a pizza cutter, that was until the doctor turned it on. There was a loud buzzing sound and the blade started to turn at an abnormally fast speed. It creeped Tom out and all he could do was close his eyes when the doctor moved closer to his leg.

It wasn't long until the cast broke open and Tom's leg was free at last. Once the annoying sound was mute, Tom opened his eyes to look at his leg. It looked the same except for a bruise on the left side of his calf. Tom knew it had to be from his father because that was exactly the spot his dad slammed onto the ground. Tom cringed at the thought of that day, one month ago. Thinking about the passed month, Tom forgot all about his one month anniversary with Jen today. He knew if he didn't do something with her, she was going to kick his ass.

"Alright, Thomas, you're free to go," The old man smiled and shook Tom's hand once again.

"Thanks a lot!" Tom smiled while standing up from the bench.

"Anytime, son," The doctor turned back to the cabinet and Tom ran out from the building as soon as possible, before getting in trouble.

'I gotta go see Jen.' Tom thought to himself while running down the street, on his way to his girlfriend's house.

...

"You're out, Hoppus," The guard yelled while opening the metal bars.

"What?" Mark sat up on his bunk and questioned the officer.

"You heard me, you're out, you're free to go. You did your time," The woman handed Mark his clothes from when he first entered jail.

Mark grabbed them quickly, smiling and standing up quickly. He was so excited to finally leave that he didn't even bother going into another room to change. He stripped right in front of the officer without a care in the world, putting on his regular clothing and smiling with relief that he was finally free of all of that torturous shit. The guard led him to the entrance and opened the door, letting him out.

"Now, stay out of trouble!" The officer yelled quickly before closing the door.

Mark smiled and didn't even think twice before running to Tom's house. He couldn't wait to see him.

...

Tom knocked on his girlfriend's door three times before she opened it. She stood there for a second and just stared at her boyfriend before her. After a while of them just looking at each other, she raised herself just enough to meet his lips for a quick, loving kiss.
