Just Friends?

Shubman woke up with sunlight pouring in through the windows. His roommate did not like sleeping with the blinds drawn. Said they made him lose estimate of time.

He looked over to said roomate, Ishan, who was sleeping blissfully unaffected by the bright sun falling over his face. He was facing Shubman, cuddling his oh so dear pillow he couldn't sleep without.

So pretty.

Shubman couldn't help but smile, all his annoyance vanishing in face of Ishan's peaceful presence. His hair messier than usual covering his eyes and forehead.

Shubman leaned on his elbow, gently moving his fingers forward to brush away the hair covering Ishan's eyes. It was so soft. He loved Ishan's hair. He always found excuses to touch it. He was happy to realise Ishan was in a deep deep sleep. He wouldn't have to make any excuses this time.

Ishan stirred. Shubman quickly retracted his hand. Ishan woke up rubbing his forehead where shubman's fingers were a second ago, likely due to a tickle. His body was very sensitive. Affected by the lightest of touches. Shubman discovered this very early on in their friendship and found it incredibly fun to tickle him ever since.

"Finally up?" Shubman asked with a gentle smile.

"Mmm hmm. Slept like a baby". Ishan answered still trying to get to his senses.
He pushed his pillow to the side and pulled Shubman in for a hug as tight as he could. His arms around shubh's neck, head buried in his chest and legs finding the gaps between Shubman's.

"What are you doing?" Shubman asked with a laugh.

"Energising" Ishan replied still in dreamland.

"Wasn't sleep enough?"

"Nuh huh"

Shubman just smiled and pulled him closer rubbing his back. Ishan loved cuddles. Shubman was more than happy to be the one he was cuddling with. His small body fit perfectly with Shubman's. It sometimes got Shubman flustered but he would never let the opportunity pass. It always warmed his heart. It made him feel like everything would be fine if he could just have this.

They lay there, soft breaths in and out until Ishan's alarm went off.

Shubman turned it off knowing Ishan was too out of it to do it himself. He gently tried to wake Ishan up.

"Get up yaar we need to head out in an hour"

"Where?"

"Don't tell me you forgot? We're supposed to go on a team outing seeing as it's our last day here."

"Don't want to" Ishan answered still struggling to get up.

"You say so but I'll bet a million dollars you'll be the one jumping around the most once we're out."

And right Shubman was. Despite his protests to sleep, Ishan was jumping around in the lobby an hour later, ready to get the day started.

They were at breakfast, waiting for the rest of the team along with Hardik, Surya, Siraj and Rahul.

Hardik and Ishan were excitedly chatting about their plans for the day while the other three were busy stuffing their faces.

"Will you guys please eat? You have an entire bus ride to plot your activities." Rahul voiced, knowing full well they were gonna whine about being hungry.

"Are Rahul you don't even have kids rn why are you turning into a father already?" Hardik joked.

Rahul just rolled his eyes with an exasperated laugh.

"Maybe you should start acting like a father seeing as you're the one with a kid" Siraj teased.

"That is exactly what I'm doing. Making plans for a trip like a responsible father would" Hardik huffed proudly.

"Fair enough" added Surya acknowledging the wisdom.

Rahul rolled his eyes a second time.

"Did you two get to finish what you were doing last night?"
The voice belonged to Shreyas who had just entered the room. The question was obviously directed at Ishan and Shubman, bcs he  remembered last night.

"Are bhai aap bhi na" Ishan laughed while Shubman sat there too embarassed to say anything.

"Finish what?" Before the others could ask Virat Rohit and Jaddu had walked in curious to see what was going on.

"Are nothing bhaiy-" Shubman began answering but was cut off by Shreyas who began "Finishing what homies do of course. I walked in on Shubman on top of Ish- ",
and now Shreyas was cut off by the former holding his mouth, trying to silence him.

The others just laughed and the breakfast area became a house of giggles.

"Ahaan and what was Shubman doing on top of you Ishan?" Surya teased.

Ishan and Shubman were both flustered at this point.
"Are bhai woh we were just fighting over something."

"Clearly the fight became heated" Siraj added with a laugh.

The entire team loved teasing them. Everyone knew there was something between them even if the two idiots were too oblivious to realise it themselves.
Team just hoped they could one day stop being blind and see what everyone could. Until then the team was there to tease the life out of them.

"Accha baba chalo stop now, that's enough" Virat said, thinking they've had enough to deal with.

"Haan quickly finish your breakfast we leave in 15 minutes" Rohit being the responsible captian added.

"Captian make sure you don't forget anything" Hardik laughed. Everyone was well aware of Rohit's habit of forgetting important things.

"Are Han baba chal chal na" Rohit responded.

Everyone laughed and sat down for breakfast.

Okay chapter 2 kind of done? I didn't know what else to write so I stopped there. I want this book to include ict banter and laughs. Again pls feel free to drop any requests/suggestions.
