With friends: manipulative af. Doesn't even talk to his friends unless he wants something. If he doesn't find someone he cares about, he hides it under manipulation but then gets really depressed if they get tired of him.
With a lover: actually cares and doesn't wanna fuck that up, so he tries really hard. Sometimes the manipulative side slips through and he's sort of hesitant to apologize but always tries to make it up to them eventually. Expect him to boast about them.
