When I awoke I saw the vampire sleeping on my lap. I pet him gently. How cute. He must've fallen asleep during the day was my best guess but now that it was night it was time for him to be awake. How long had he been asleep? He looked entirely too peaceful and almost child-like; I couldn't bring myself to wake him. He was clinging to me as if he was having a nightmare... Do vampires have nightmares? I suppose they could but why then did he look so peaceful? Was he content with the horror that was torturing him? I shook him gently. He opened his eyes slowly.
"Integra?" He asked. I nodded.
"You seemed to be having a nightmare." I replied while petting his hair gently. "Are you alright now?" He nodded and squeezed my hand rather tightly.
"I love you, Alucard." I kissed his cheek gently.
"I love you too, Master." He replied with a smile that I knew was half-hearted. I hugged him close.
"You can talk to me if you want to..." I told him quietly.
"Thank you..." He replied while nuzzling into me gently. I prt his head and oddly enough he went right back to sleep. I smiled.
"Good night..., Alucard."
