3rd person pov
There are all sorts of races in the world.
Anthromorphs, humans with animal characteristics, are one such race. There are many different kinds of anthros, ranging from normal species like cats and dogs to snakes and lions and whales. However they only make up a small minority of the population....
....and take special care to hide their animal characteristics. This is because over the centuries, they have learned that bad things happen when their secret is discovered.
Jung Wooyoung, had been getting by pretty comfortably as a cat anthro. It wasn't hard for him to live in human society as his cat traits didn't appear unless,
.....he became very severely ill, surprised, or excited. Which is not exactly the case for everyone but he was relatively fortunate.
That was until this employee came in. Choi San.
Wooyoung was barely able to hold back these past few days. Touching his hand? Massaging his lips with ice? This guy's got no definition of personal space.
"I'm so sorry boss" San apologized, sitting next to Wooyoung in the alley.
Wooyoung was scared, due to him getting surprised his cat ears sprouted out, but he acted quick and covered his head with his suit coat.
"Please go. I'm fine really." His voice was shaking and San thought it was all his fault.
"I don't want to!!" He stated, loud and clear, before pulling the coat away from his Boss' head only to stare in disbelief at what he saw, his face expressed shock while Manager Jung sat there in terror. His secret was out.
Am I still drunk? San shook his head and stared at his boss once again. Wooyoung was trembling with fear, it's not supposed to go this way.
San forwarded his hand, slowly stroking the cat ears. "I'm not drunk, these are real." He mumbled to himself. Looking at Wooyoung for an answer. Wooyoung faced him, still trembling.
"Boss what are these?" San asked, now looking at Wooyoung's face, how scared he looked.
"Its-" Wooyoung started, moving away from San. "None of your business." He punched San across his face, he didn't use a lot of strength but as San was already a bit tipsy, he fell flat on the ground. Wooyoung quickly collected his coat and ran away from the alley, leaving San behind.
_
The next day San couldn't focus on anything at work. Was he dreaming? Then how did he end up in the alley? Was he drunk and imagined everything? Then why did Manager Jung leave him there?
"Cat human hybrid." He mumbled as he typed away on his work computer's search bar. A few pictures of girls wearing cat ears and gloves came up. But they were just costumes, what he saw the day before was nothing like this.
What on earth? Cat girl what's this? He covered his face with his hands, he might go crazy by how much he was thinking about it.
"Huh? San. You're into these kinds of stuff?" One of his co-workers, Yunho, spoke from behind him. Looking at his computer from his shoulder.
"Wahh, it's not my thing. It's just that manager Jung. He-"
"Manager Jung?"
"San"
They both turned behind to look at manager Jung standing there with an awkward smile on his face. "can we talk?" He motioned San to follow him. "Just the two of us."
San nodded and followed manager Jung to an empty meeting room. "Why did you want to see me, boss?"
For a minute, no one spoke and the room was silent. Wooyoung had his back facing San and was contemplating on how to start.
