You threw your handbag onto the desk chair, as you flopped on the bed yet again like every other day. It felt so fucking weird. You felt every single fiber of pain from the trolls' world, but earlier today when you awoke from that you felt.. nothing. Except you were hungry on an empty stomach.

To you, it felt as if you were living two different lives, in which you were. Just in the troll world you were fighting for your life, having a battle injury yourself.. but now you’re here.. working and doing your shifts like the regular person. You aren't doing some sort of adventure everyday, no, you’re simply the regular person in college and with a Walmart side gig.

It was weird. You would go to sleep, go into the troll world, go to sleep again, and end up waking up in this world. The cycle just continues right after that.

That was the only thing on your head all day, and that managed to fuck you up since you would doze out and get distracted a lot during your shift. Some of your coworkers noticed, as well as your manager. He called you and gave you a talk to see if you were doing alright, but you didn't really respond much so you just said you were out of it for the day.

Obviously you couldn't tell him or anyone of the shit that has been happening to you. No one would believe you, and it sounded too cliche to be true.

You rolled over on your bed, as you sat up and looked at yourself. Perfectly none broken legs, feeling nothing. Your skin was like any other soft humane and realistic skin, not fuzzy. You lifted up your hands as they were within eyesight and counted the fingers. Five on each hand instead of four.

It just felt weird, you know? You shook your head as you tried to shrug it off, as you sat upright from your bed. With your feet touching the cold floor you’re always greeted with, you rustled through your closet as the doors were already open before then, and grabbed your pajamas. You changed in your room normally, as you walked out your bedroom door and out to the hallway, heading towards the bathroom.

Opening the bathroom doors, the room was dark as you slipped your hand in pressing the bottom switch of the room, as the bathroom light was turned on. You rinsed your hands as you yawned, grabbing your toothbrush as you were about to brush your teeth for the night. Maybe just today wasn't your day, because it sure didn't feel like it.

Opening your mouth wide open, you brushed your gaping mouth in a circular motion, as you looked at your own reflection as the toothpaste foam was escaping from your mouth. You looked at yourself as you remembered that one troll image you sought yourself in the reflection that one night from long ago. That incident was one-to-two weeks ago. One-to-two weeks ago.

You spit out the toothpaste, as you rinse your toothbrush, putting it away for the night. You closed the light and door behind you as you walked towards your room. Walking perfectly fine.

Closing the door right behind you, you dimmed the light to your room just a bit so it wasn't pitch black. You crawled on your bed as you placed the thick blanket over you, since it was a cold night. You were just facing up at the ceiling, just wondering.

The drowsiness consumed you, as the quiet room urged you to just rest your eyes. Your eyelids wanted to fall asleep but you continued to doze out in thought. You finally decided to give yourself a break, as you gave in and let what your body desired at that moment.

“..Poppy she just appeared out of NOWHERE. Do you not think this is a BAD IDEA..”

You squeezed your eyes as you ached to sleep more, as the only thing waking you up right now was the murmuring sounds happening from all around you.

“..Branch I'm pretty sure she knows something we don't. Just give her a second..”
