It all started with a hunt, a spirit more specifically. Iliana was sent by John to Cleveland/Ohio to burn the remains of the spirit. The plan was simple. Find the remains and burn them. But that didn't go as planned. She got attacked by the spirit. She had to be saved by John. On the way back they got to a really bad fight. Even when they got back to the motel (Where they originally were staying before she was sent to Ohio) they were still fighting. And that was the last straw for Iliana.
She went to her room and started to pack her things. John followed her to her room.
-What do you think you are doing? -he asked
-I'm leaving - Iliana said as she still packing her bags.
-OH, so your following Sam's footsteps -starts to laugh - And where the hell do you think you will go - John stated
-Its none of your business - Iliana set down her last clothing and turns to him to look at him in the eyes. In that moment Dean came from the bar.
-Wow, where are you going? -Dean asked.
-Far away from you two - She says as she was about to leave.
-Do you remember what I told Sam before he left? - John asked stopping Iliana for a second.
-Same goes to you... You leave that door, never come back.
Iliana turns to look at them before she leaves and closes the door of the motel room.

So in the prologues is why Iliana left John and Dean, and did Dean tried to search her in that 1year....mmmhh .NOOO....Did i make Dean a dick in the first season...maybe;*.But later in the seasons i promise u guys he will change.
