Sunlight bled through the window, As you stirred from sleep, a faint groan escaped your lips, a sign you didn't get enough rest. With a stretch, you sat up, your hand instinctively reaching up to rub the sleep from your eyes. You look at your surroundings, a momentary confusion settled in. This wasn't your own room. As you continue to look at the unfamiliar decor, you blinked in mild surprise. The gears in your mind turn, and then it clicked.

The events on what happened last night, the flashing lights of the club, Velvet and Veneer getting drunk, everything came back to you.

Where you were right now, was a guest room of the siblings mansion. They were such a mess last night that you couldn't make it home. You recalled how Crimp offered you to sleep in the guest room.

You scratched your head, remembering last night...

--

You checked the time, it was 3:46 AM. You and the siblings have been here for hours. You're exhausted. You couldn't say the same for Velvet and Veneer though, they were having the time of their life.

You weren't sure how much they drank, you lost count. Weariness settled into your gaze as you watched the siblings, Velvet and Veneer, weaving through the dance with laughter. You sigh, this time you're making sure to take them home.

Closing the distance, their laughter becoming louder as you near them. "Guys, it's really late, it's time I bring you home." Both siblings collectively groan. "Y/N it's not that late!" Veneer protested, his face tinged with a rosy flush from the all the alcohol he drank. You sigh once more and shook your head. "I'm calling your driver."

You ignored their complaints, you had no choice but to almost drag them to the exit. With one hand firmly gripping Velvet's, and the other securing a hold on Veneer. They were acting like children. Velvet tried pulling back, her free hand extending towards the alluring bar. "One last drink-" You only pulled her closer, she groaned.

Velvet persistently tugged at her hand from yours, a struggle against your firm grasp. Finally making it out of the club, the cool night air wrapped around all three of you. You let go of Veneer to get your phone. As you dialed the number of the waiting driver, each ring resonated against the quiet of the night.

After what felt like an hour of ringing, the phone was answered "Hello?" Hearing the drivers voice you couldn't help but feel a sense of relief. "Yeah, you can pick us up now." You furrowed your eyebrows, confusion evident on your face. "What do you mean you thought they were already home?"

You felt your patience thinning with every passing second. A sigh escaped your lips, your frustration only grew. "No of course not, you didn't even pick them up-" Amidst the strained conversation, a sudden laughter disrupted you. Velvet's laugh, tinged with a hint of wheeziness.

"Holy shit!" Velvet's laughter became louder, a sound that echoed in the night. Her amusement intensified as she gazed beside you, you followed her line of sight. Your eyes widened in disbelief at the sight in front of you. There caught in entanglement, was Veneer and his upper body stuck awkwardly in a nearby bush. You took one phone call and Veneer was stuck in a fucking bush.

"Give me a sec." you interjected into the conversation with the driver, there he was, in the midst of struggling to remove himself from the clutches of the bush. Stepping closer, you placed your hands on his waist, and pulled him with a grunt. The bush shook and he finally got out. There were leaves stuck on his hair.  He giggled, Velvet mirroring her siblings giggle had her phone in hand and recorded the whole thing.

Inhaling deeply, you steadied Veneer, guiding him to stand alongside his sibling. Retrieving your phone, you went back to the phone call. "I look so stupid oh my God." Veneer wheezed out, his voice carrying amusement as he watched the video Velvet took.
