"You still haven't told him?" Rhea asks while you pace in her locker room.
"No. I'm a coward, Rhea. This is going to be hard. Roman picked up the pieces Randy left. He was there for me. How am I supposed to tell him that the "friend" I was catching up with was Randy? He will never forgive me."
"Well, you better figure it out soon because they are both bound to see each other now after that promo Randy did on smackdown."
She's right and you were a coward. You've seen Roman a few times within the past week and still can't have the balls to tell him.
"Do you want Randy back?" Rhea asks, and you sigh and sit down in the chair.
"I don't know. Roman has really been here for me and he makes me laugh, always makes sure I have anything I need. He was there when I had my neck surgery."
"But?" She asks, looking at you.
"But Randy felt like the one. Even though our relationship was complicated, he always felt like the person I'm supposed to be with."
"So, you do want him back?" She questions.
"He's also the one that left when things got tough. He was married. He's 15 years older than me."
"And Roman is 10 years older than you." Rhea reiterates. "You're going to have to decide before you lose them both."
***********************************
"There she is." You turn around to the sound of Roman who pulls you into his arms. "I missed you so much." He says and kisses your forehead."I missed you, too." You tell him, and he leans down to press his lips to yours.
"So, did I miss anything?"
You go to answer when Randy approaches you. "Hey. You left this at my house the other day. I've been trying to give it back to you, but you've been kind of MIA." He says, and looks between you and Roman.
"Thank you. Sorry. I've been super busy with finals this week." You tell him and you feel Roman's hand on your lower back.
"No problem. Talk to you later?" Randy asks and you nod at him. You can't look at Roman and walk into his locker room.
"Apparently I did miss something." Roman says as he closes the door behind him. "You want to explain?"
"It was nothing. I told you I was catching up with a friend." You finally turn around to face him, and you can see the uncertainty on his face.
"He's not a friend." He states and places his jacket on the couch. "He's the one that literally broke you. Why would you want to talk to him?"
"Closure." You tell him, and you can tell by the look on his face that he doesn't believe you.
"I'm only going to ask you this once and please do not lie to me. Did anything happen between you two since he has come back?"
"I had a panic attack." You tell him, and he crosses his arms over his chest. "Nothing was working to stop it and so he..."
"He what? And where was Rhea?"
"She was in the room. He wouldn't let her near me."
"He kissed you." He states the obvious, and you look down at your hands. "No. Look at me." You listen and now he was standing right in front of you. "Was that the only time?"
"Yes. When I went to talk to him we just ate and talked. He apologized."
"Apologized for leaving you heartbroken to the point that you literally fell into a depression? Does he know that I had to be there for you every day just to make sure you took a shower and ate food?" All you do is shake your head. "And when you broke your neck, who was there for you? Making sure you felt comfortable?"
