"You're so suffocating Roman!" the short blonde girl yaps at him, her tight ponytail bouncing with her movements.
Isn't she just as suffocating with her agitating yapping? She reminds me of noisy Chihuahua. I only started dating her because she was so insistent, but this is exhausting...
"Are you even listening you fucking prick?" she continues to yell at Roman as his focus is brought back to the... Chihuahua. Sigh... "McKenzie, listen. I don't want to do this anymore, us. We really should just go our separate ways-" Roman barely finishes explaining before a dainty hand, with claws made of tacky acrylic nails, comes crashing into his face.
"Ow." he says plainly after having been slapped by her. McKenzie is red in the face looking up at Roman as if he'd taken her favorite toy.
You see? Exhausting.
"Who do you think you are to break up with me Roman?" she scoffs, sounding full of herself. "I've spent too much time putting up with your bullshit. We are over!" she exclaims. Roman runs his fingers through his curly black hair to push it out of his face and look McKenzie in the eyes. After a momentary pause, in a low tone Roman says "Good, you wouldn't want to be with a fucking prick anyways." McKenzie seems infuriated, but doesn't seem to have anything left to say either. The Chihuahua leaves in a raging fit, defeated.
I'm glad that's over.
Roman stuffs his hands in his pockets and starts his walk home. Although he is feeling relieved to be free of the Chihuahua, something aches in his heart.
It's always like this. Some people just aren't meant for relationships. My relationships always end in the same way. Someone will come to me saying I'm what they're looking for. I'm polite, at least most of the time, and I'm tall and half decent looking. Then after few weeks they figure out that I'm "too negative" or "a bummer". I get it, I'm just not that entertaining to be around, and I ruin the mood.
Roman's walk home is coming to an end. He turns to walk up his driveway and pauses.
What? Do you plan on following me all day?
He sighs and continues to step towards his door, fiddling with the key.
Seriously, why are you here?
After opening the door Roman stomps right up the stairs to his room, as if trying to leave you behind.
Fine, stay if you want Reader.
Roman slides into a beanbag in the corner and takes the guitar propped up against the wall into grasp. After a bit of tuning he begins to play, loudly. As if he wanted to drown you out and ignore you.
