Loki and Bucky walked into the small coffee shop. Peter said it had the best coffee and had insisted that they both try it. He had even left little notes all over the place (including but not limited to Bucky's arm, Loki's hairbrush, and inside every single one of their books).
The two men finally agreed to go if Peter would stop leaving the notes around.
They stood in the relatively short line behind a tall person. They were dressed fabulously and seemed to be typing something on their phone.
[A/N this is what I mean by dressed fabulously. I mean just omg *insert chefs kiss*]
Bucky and Loki both stared for a moment before looking away, their faces bright red. The person was very attractive.
The person in front of them ordered and went to sit down on a lounge chair near some bookshelves. Bucky and Loki both ordered their drinks as well and then Loki dragged Bucky over to the person.
"Pardon me, do you mind if we sit here?" He asked.
The person looked up and smiled at them. "Go ahead." They said, Loki smiled and pulled over a chair. "Thank you, these seem like the best seats in this establishment." He said, pulling Bucky down into the seat next to him.
"They really are." The person said. "First time here?" They asked, raising an eyebrow.
Bucky rubbed the back of his neck. "Is it that obvious?" He asked.
The person chuckled and waved their hand in the air. "Nah, not too obvious." They said with a smirk.
Bucky blushed and looked away, embarrassed. "Alistair!" The lady at the counter called.
The person stood up. "That's my drink, be right back." They said before walking over to get their drink.
"Shit, why'd you bring me over here?" Bucky whispered harshly to Loki. "I wasn't prepared for flirting with cute people today. God my hair is a mess." Bucky said, frantically trying to fix his hair (which looked fine btw).
Loki simply laughed at the soldier's awkwardness. The person from before, apparently named Alistair, came back and sat down. "So, do you boys go to coffee shops a lot?" They asked.
Bucky shook his head. "No." Loki said, answering the question for both of them.
"That explains why I've never seen you. Trust me, I'd remember such handsome faces." Alistair said with a wink.
Bucky's eyes widened and he turned beet red before quickly standing up. "I think our names were called, I'll go get those!" He said before quickly walking away.
Loki shook his head and rolled his eyes. "Forgive him, he isn't used to being around people. Especially ones as attractive as yourself." He said, smirking.
Alistair laughed. Suddenly a small piano chime broke their conversation. Alistair smiled a little and held up their phone. "Sorry, text." They said with a small laugh.
They glanced down and read the text before standing up. "I'm really sorry, I've got to go. Tell your friend I said bye." They said, They ran their hand over Loki's shoulder as they walked past.
"Maybe I'll see you two again." They said with a wink before leaving the building. Loki grinned as Bucky walked back. "Where'd they go?" He asked.
"An emergency came up, they said to let you know they said bye." Loki said.
Bucky sat down. "Wow." He breathed.
Loki nodded. "That is a good way of putting it. They are intriguing."
"And attractive." Bucky added.
Loki chuckled. "Yes, and very attractive."
