As they walked through the bustling mall, Emma's irritation became apparent, her eyes scanning the crowd with annoyance.
"What's wrong, Emma?" Alexa asked, furrowing her brow.
"It's those guys," Emma muttered. "They're always hanging around here, You can call them the bad boys, try by all means to stay away from them"
As they continued walking, they accidentally bumped into a group of rough-looking guys. Alexa felt uneasy as their eyes darted towards her, their gazes lingering for a moment longer than normal. Emma's annoyance grew as one of the guys started showing interest in her.
"Why don't you mind your own business?" Emma snapped, glaring at the guy who was clearly smitten with Alexa.
The other guys, however, couldn't help but steal glances at Alexa, finding themselves captivated by her natural beauty. Curiosity got the better of one of them, and he finally asked Emma, "Hey, who's she with?"
Emma's protective instinct kicked in. "None of your business! And stop staring, you assholes! You're scaring her."
The group of guys chuckled amongst themselves, their curiosity piqued even further by the mystery surrounding Alexa. One of them decided to break away from the group and approach the two women.
As the rugged guy made his way toward them, Alexa's heart started beating rapidly, her cheeks flushing with a mix of embarrassment and nervousness. She had never been the object of such attention before.
Their eyes locked, and Alexa found herself momentarily breathless. The guy's voice, with its deep timbre, seemed to steal the air from her lungs. She could feel her body perspiring ever so slightly, taken aback by this sudden encounter.
Finally, the guy spoke, his words coming out in a low, almost mesmerizing tone. "Are you coming to the party?"
Alexa stammered, caught off guard by his intensity. In that moment, her voice seemed to fail her. She struggled to fill her lungs with air, her mind racing to form a coherent response. Eventually, she managed to let out a soft, almost inaudible, "Yes, I am."
The guy's eyes widened for a brief second, seemingly surprised by her answer. He mumbled something that Alexa couldn't quite catch, leaving her even more flustered.
As the guy walked away, Alexa stood rooted to the spot, feeling a mixture of confusion and exhilaration. Emma turned to her, a knowing smile on her face.
"Well, well, Lexi. Looks like someone caught your eye," Emma teased, nudging her gently.
Alexa's cheeks turned a deeper shade of red, and she stuttered, desperately trying to regain control of her thoughts. "Wh-what are you talking about, Emma? It was just a quick conversation."
Emma laughed, her eyes glittering mischievously. "You can't fool me, Lexi. I saw the way your eyes locked with his. There's something there. Maybe this party will be more interesting than we thought."
As they continued their shopping spree, Alexa couldn't shake off the encounter from her mind. It was like a spark, a brief moment that felt both thrilling and terrifying. Little did she know that this unexpected connection would set off a series of events that would challenge her in ways she couldn't have imagined, unraveling secrets and unlocking hidden desires within herself.
