The first morning, i woke up early. I stand and get ready, brushing my hair and teeth. As i do so, i look out my window. Its a regular summar day, but happy that Fall is near. I sit watch the people outside of my apartment, just some strange kids, as they would usually play out on the playgrounds. Soon i look over at my watch on the wall, its 2:25. My plans dont start until 3:00, so i have time to read.
Once time has passed, i walked over to my room, such an empty space. I put a post online that read that i was looking for a roomate, but i havent had a single reply! I walked to my closet and opened the baige doors, i picked out a pair of baggy ripped jeans and a red oversized T-shirt, Then i left.
It was a warm day, but not as warm as summer. I walked down the road twards the park and sat down as i lay my bag on my other side. As i wait i watch the small kids on the playground play. But there was a small thing i noticed, as a big group of kids where playing, another tried to join, but he only got to say 'hello' before the other kids walked away. He walked to a seprate binch, with a sad expression. As i watched him i realized that my friend Layan was calling my name, i look over as she walked twards me, "Atlas are you ok?!" she yelled.
"Yeah, i was just zonning out!" i replied.
"ok thats fine i guess." she said out of breath.
I pat the spot next to me as i move my bag, "sit. Where is Remi?"
She sat down, her big boots sliding on the ground as she walked.
'Well, Remi will be here soon, but he is bringing a friend, a new friend."
As she told me what was happening, i felt utterly uncofortable. I nodded my head and dazed off again, watching the kids play, while the other boy sat by himself drawing in the sand. Layan had watched and followed my eyes, "what happened to him?" she asked and looked back at me.
"The other kids didnt want to play with him. " i said as i looked over to her as well.
"well stop staring at him ya creep!" she said playfully.
"shut up, lay." i respond with a smile
"i mean, it is sweet that you care for the boy, but dont watch him wierdo!" she said, her voice more serious than before. I nodded my head in agreement and looked over at the small woods behind my apartment complex. As i waited for Remi and his 'friend' i dazed off.
