"NO!" Susie jolted up in her bed, her heart hammering in ears.
Another nightmare.
She felt a few stray tears running down her cheek, she tried wiping them away with her hands but they were shaking too much. That's when she remembered what Madame Blanc had told her, whenever she was frightened, she'd say her prayers.
She quickly knelt down on the side of her bed, clasping her hands together and with a tremble in her voice started.
Unholy Mothers...
Shield me with your darkness,
Cleanse me with your tears
And guide me when my heart fills with sighs
...
Give me strength to never kneel before those who would chain me
Blessed Mothers protect me,
Now and until the witching hour of my deathHail The Three Mothers...
Hail The Three Mothers...
Hail The Three Mothers...
————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————Clark Kent rushed through the pouring streets, loud splashes resonated with each footstep as he reached the building of his destination and shelter from the nonstop rain.
It wasn't that hard to miss due to there being two large weeping angel statues standing on each side of the entrance, weird taste in decor but he was never really one for works of stone art
He entered through the revolving doors, and his eyes widened slightly at the size of the lobby, she could easily fit his entire apartment in here, not to mention the pronounced echo of the minimalist but stylish room, he swore even his breathing had one.
"Can I help you?" A cheerful voice brought him out of his ogling and brought her attention to a kind looking older woman, standing at the top of the short staircase.
"Oh, yes um, I'm Clark Kent from The Daily Planet, I'm here to write the article about your school." He explained, extending his hand out.
"Oh of course." She shook his hand with a friendly, welcoming smile. "I'm Miss Tanner, the vice principal."
"It's nice to meet you."
"Please, right this way Mr Kent, I'll escort you to Madame Blanc's office."
Clark gave one last glance back at the lobby, giving the faint shimmering silhouette of Dr. Fate a discrete nod, he returned the signal just before they walked off.
Dr. Fate could feel the negativity radiating off every surface, on top of that, he sensed something else, a much darker and more ancient presence, Batman was right to be concerned. So while Superman distracted them, he would investigate further.
————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————Tanner had brought Clark to Madame Blanc's door, telling him to wait and she would be with him shortly and left
Clark's eyes began wondering while he was waiting and they happened to land on another one of those crying angel statues, where they just everywhere in this place?
