Confused, I look around and notice people staring at me in one strange way or another. Well, this is probably because I'm new, but is it really necessary to stare so much? A little uncomfortable, I decide to ignore the looks and concentrate on the paper in my hand, my plan that I need for the entire school year. It says I have P.E. for the first two hours, which I'm not so grateful for because it means I have to socialize with people, which I'm not very good at. I'll manage it somehow. I hope.

Suddenly the bell rings and that means I have to hurry up not to be late on the first day. It certainly won't make a good impression, and that's not something i need right now. The only problem is that I really have no idea in which direction I have to walk.

"Omg, I'm so sorry! Are you okay- hey, Andre!"

While I rub my sore shoulder, I look at the girl who just apologized to me for running into me. She pushes a strand of her blonde hair - which highlights her blue eyes - behind her ear. Amazed by her beauty, I swallow briefly and smile slightly.

"Nina." She smiles, revealing her white teeth.

"Ayla. I'm new here." I introduce myself and shake her hand, which she holds out to me.

"As I expected! I haven't seen your pretty face around yet! I'm sorry about what happened earlier, Andre is clumsy sometimes."

Only now do I turn my gaze to the boy next to Nina and stretch my hand out to him. The boy with dark brown hair shakes my hand while he looks me over briefly. I see him scratching the back of his head with his hand and laughing, embarrassed.

"I can be a bit clumsy sometimes. Nina's right." Andre grins and his eyes get bigger for a second, then go back to normal, which makes him seem kind of playful.

Before I can even answer the boy, Nina takes the paper out of my hand and looks at it herself. With a satisfied expression on her face, she gives the plan back to me, as she puts her arm around Andre and me and leads us down the hallway. It doesn't take us long until we're outside. So I guess that both of them also have P.E.

"Hey, guys! We met someone really cool!"

While Nina calls out the words, we walk into the changing room. Andre is no longer with us, so he probably went into the other changing room where the other boys are. I drop my backpack on the bench, as does Nina, and sit down.

"Who is this? Hi, I'm Meche. It's nice to meet you!" The girl introduces herself and comes walking towards me curiously.

"Hi. I'm Ayla, it's nice to meet you too!"

Her smile gets wider. She turns to Nina and the two girls look at each other knowingly.

"I like her!"

I smile a little, surprised by her reaction.

After talking for a bit, the two girls and I leave the cabin together. From a distance I see a person in a gray jogging suit.

"Who's that?" I ask.

"Oh! That's Mr. Hill. He's weird." Meche explains and i look at her questioningly.

"He likes to watch the girls, but not the boys. Basically, he offers tutoring to girls in the hope of getting an offer from them. You know what I mean." She says disgusted and Nina makes chocking noises.

"That's disgusting." I say.

"Yep. C'mon! We need to hurry up, or he'll call us over." Says Meche and we run after her.

There are only a few students on the field. Hasn't the lesson started yet? I look around and see the others walking out now. The girls are walking in front of the boys, who are laughing at something. Where were the other girls when we were in the cabin?

We keep running and do three more laps until Nina and I are out of breath. I have so little stamina that I wouldn't have been able to cope without water if it was hot summer.

"I'm dying!" Nina exhales heavily and places an arm on my shoulder.

I laugh slightly and look around, but immediately regret it. There is a boy sitting on a chair not far from me. Tattoos litter his skin in every place that are visible expect from his face. His blue eyes hold darkness and fearlessness. When he sees I'm not looking away, he throws down the rest of the water and places it beside him without losing eye contact. He's huge. The amount of muscle on him shows that he uses his body and knows how to use it well.

Danger, I tell myself, do not touch. Leaning forward in his seat with his long muscular legs spread, I see the smirk that comes to his lips as his eyes blaze and I swallow. He moves so he rests his elbows on his knees, running his thumb over his bottom lip.

Dangerous indeed.

I quickly look back at Nina, who is already grinning at me knowingly. I suddenly notice how red I'm turning and she laughs loudly.

"Who is he?" I whisper, even if no one is near us.

„Arian. Andre's best friend. The two have known each other since kindergarten. They're like brothers of the same blood." She explains to me.

"Does he always stare at people like that?"

Nina is about to answer me when she quickly closes her mouth.

"Of course you can eat lunch with us!" She laughs nervously.

I furrow my eyebrows in confusion. Huh?

She looks behind me and then at me with big, pleading eyes. I understand and play along.

"Really? I didn't want to be alone on the first day." I thank her and smile.

"Yeah, man! Did u see that too?" I hear Andre laughing, as he stands next to Nina. The other three boys, who I don't know, are standing next to us. I only recognize one, and that is the one from before who pierced me with his eyes.

He looks even better from here, so close to me. His hands are slightly clenched into fists, which makes the veins stand out even more. I notice that he's staring at me again, with that smirk on his lips. My whole face is definitely red. Why is he staring at me like that? I mean, there are plenty of girls he can look at who are a thousand times more beautiful than me.

"I think I have to go to the bathroom! See you later!"

Everyone laughs at what Nina just said as she drags me away. As soon as we enter the cabin, she turns around to look at me.

"What was that just now?!" She asks me in shock. She notices my confused - as always - facial expression and sighs.

"I don't think you understand, Ayla. Arian never noticed any girl. I'm not even joking!"

"He probably looked at me because I'm new and he's never seen me before." I say.

Nina shakes her head.

"I don't think so." she murmurs.

"What do you mean?" I ask confused, but we are interrupted when the others walk in.
