I swung by the coffee shoppe late, on a warm Wednesday afternoon. It was about 5pm, less than three people were in the café. As I wait for a drink, a woman — a tall, blazing brunette of a woman — bumps my shoulder. She smiles, tilting her head towards the ground in a formal apology, and goes on her way. I remember distinctly the ring of the bell when the door opened for her exit. Saints, was she pretty. I fantasize of her lake blue eyes which locked with mine that breezy evening ... I wonder if we'll ever meet again. I truly would love that, if I may be sincere.
I tell my maid this story multiple times, as she too, was once in love with a man she'd never actually met before. She calls this a one-off love, but I don't think that would be the case for me. This shan't be a one-off love, it must be forever. Except, I hadn't told her one key piece of information; the woman I am describing, is of course, a woman. She would throw me straight to the authorities in a heartbeat if I were to explain I am in a romancing fantasy which includes another woman. See, that just isn't allowed in these days. If it were, I'm sure many women would be partners! Men may even be, too, knowing how they are.
Well, it appears it's time for supper. I'll follow up soon enough, if I am ever to notice this woman of my dreams in the real world. Good evening, dear journal. I will up and set you down another time.
