A small child screams with joy. A young couple celebrates New Years in the hospital in Florida. The small family waits anxiously for the ball to drop.
A healthy baby girl is born at twelve am that night.
Every year on New Year's Eve the girl waits for midnight and watches the fireworks, telling herself they're for her. She jumps and screams when the ball drops, she is now a year older.
