NO ONE'S POV:

Reginald Vel Johnson High School

(We see Mark talking to Eve.)

[SCHOOL BELL RINGS]

Mark: I don't want to lie to Amber, but I can't tell her the truth either.

Eve: This is why dating regular people is a pain in the ass.

Mark: Sure, but it's not like dating Rex worked out--

Mark: Sure, but it's not like dating Rex worked out--

Mark: Changing the subject now.

Eve: As much as I'd love to help with your very special crisis, I've got my own crap to deal with now.

Mark: I'll make you a deal. You help me with my Amber stuff, I'll help you with your Rex...or (Y/N) stuff.

Eve: It's not Rex, Mark. It's everything. It is (Y/N), my parents, and school, and college, and I don't know if being a superhero is what I want to do right now.

Mark: But what else would you do?

Eve: I don't know. That's the problem.

Mark: I guess...If you need anything or want to talk about it, I'm here. After I get back from Mars, I mean.

Eve: Thanks. Look, once you tell someone your secret identity, that's it. So if you're going to tell Amber the truth, you'd better be serious about her. Are you serious about her, Mark?

(Cut to Y/N in his bed, sulking.)

(Y/N): I should get up.

(He puts in no effort in getting up.)

(Y/N): [groans] Come on. Get up.

(He slaps himself in the face before moving into a sitting position at the side of his bed. He pops his neck and he looks up to see...)

Cecil: (Y/N) Marko.

(Y/N): How'd you get in my room? Do my parents know you're--

Cecil: Also known as the Juggernaut.

(Y/N): I know who you are. I saw you at the funeral.

Cecil: How rude of me. Cecil Stedman, head of the GDA.

(Y/N): Okay, Cecil. Wanna tell me why you're in my room?

Cecil: I want to talk to you about--

(He looks around Y/N's room to see it is a mess & he can tell that he's just now getting out of bed.)

Cecil: You've got to be shitting me. Are you moping right now?

(Y/N): Um, kinda. How is it any concern to you?

Cecil: It's a concern to me because from what Robot has told me about you, you're arguably the strongest or could be the strongest hero on this Earth but instead of joining the new Guardians you're here moping like a teenager over a girl.

(Y/N): I'm still a teenager though? And of course you know it's over a girl, head of the GDA and all.

Cecil: At least you were able to put that together. [deep breath] Are you sure that you won't join the New Guardians? They could use you. I definitely could.

(Y/N): The answer's still no.

Cecil: Atom Eve isn't worth--

(Y/N): Let me finish. At first it was about her but now I would like to see what I can do as a solo act. At least for the time being.

Cecil: I don't like it, but I can respect it.

(Y/N): Feel free to call if you need my help. Rather than showing up randomly in my room.

Cecil: I'll hold you to that.

(He teleports away.)

(Y/N): Neat.

(He stands up from his bed.)

(Y/N): [groans from stretching]

(Y/N)'s Mom: [yelling] A friend of yours is here to see you!

(Y/N): Really? [yells] Send 'em up!

(There's a...)

*KNOCK*

(Knock at Y/N's door.)

(Y/N): I sure am popular today.

(He opens his door to see...)

(Y/N): Eve?

Eve: Hey--

*SLAM*

(He slams the door closed in front of her.)

Eve: Okay...

(He opens the door again.)

(Y/N): Eve, what's up?

Eve: So we're going to pretend that just didn't happen?

(Y/N): Yes...if you don't mind.

Eve: Not at all.

(Y/N): Would you like to come in?

Eve: Please.

(He lets her into his room as he closes the door behind them.)

(Y/N): Believe me, if I knew you were coming, I would've cleaned my room. [lightly chuckles]

Eve: No, it's alright. I should've called.

(Y/N): So, what's up? For real this time.

Eve: We haven't really talked since...

(Y/N): I told you how I felt about you and you didn't come back.

Eve: Yeah, that.

(Y/N): Look, I acknowledge that I could've picked a better time to tell you that but I saw my chance and I took it. And you don't feel the same way about me...it's going to take some time to truly accept that but...I miss talking to you, Eve.

Eve: I miss talking to you, too. Why didn't you tell me how you felt before I got with Rex?

(Y/N): I don't know. Rex just beat to it I guess.

Eve: There's a lot going on with me right now, my head's a mess, but...

(She takes his hands in her's.)

Eve: I'm willing to take things slow if you are.

(He thinks for a moment before softly squeezing her hands & smiling.)

(Y/N): I am.
