Chapter 3: The Kiss

BAGEL'S POV: 

"I dare you..."

"to kiss Nova."

'K-kiss Nova?! But..'

My face turned a light shade of red, making me look like a tomato stained my face.

"K-kiss Nova? You have to be joking, Sofi."  I stammered, flustered.

"Nope, I'm not joking, just do it. I already...kissed..Cora..." her face got a bit redder.

I turned to Nova, "Do you want to? Do you want to ki-"

Nova placed her hands gently on my face and pulled me in for a kiss. Our lips touched and it felt like I was in a dream.

'Is this really happening..?'  I'd think to myself.

But as soon as it began, it came to an end. Nova pulled away from my face, our faces red.

"I'M SO SORRY, BAGEL!" Nova rushed out of the room and into Cora's bathroom, locking the door behind her.

"Nova..!" I called out to her as I ran out behind her, "Sorry, guys..."

"You're good." Vivian said quite calmly.

NOVA'S POV:

I would cry with my back to the bathroom door.

'Why would I kiss him..? He probably doesn't even like me back, what was the point in even accepting to kiss him?'

"Nova...?" I heard Bagel's familiar voice from outside the door.

I sniffled and wiped my nose on my sleeve, "Y-yeah..?"

There was a brief silence before Bagel said, "I..I liked that. I liked that a lot."

My face felt warm and I pressed my fingers to my cheek, absorbing the warmth from them.

'Shit...He..liked that?'

"Can you come out..? Or at least let me in?" Bagel asked soothingly.

I hesitated but eventually cracked open the bathroom door just enough for him to slip in.

"Thanks." he'd whisper.

Bagel sat down next to me, an awkward silence stretching over the both of us.

"Nova, I like you. Like, I like you a lot." he said, blushing.

"In what way?" I'd ask even though I knew what he meant.

"I..love you." Bagel buried his face in his hands.

I grabbed Bagel by the hand and said, "I love you too, Bagel."

His face would brighten, still red.

Before I could blink, Bagel's lips were on mine (hehe). 

They were soft and tasted like strawberries.

He pulled away and a thought immediately raced through my mind; "Hey, since you have a nickname, I want one too. And I was thinking since your lips taste like strawberries maybe I should be Strawberry."

"Huh, good idea but..."

"Hm?"

"You should be called strawberry because you're so sweet." he winked at me and my cheeks turned red.

"WELL YOU'RE JUST AS SWEET, IF NOT SWEETER."

a moment of silence sliced through the air before Bagel said, out of nowhere, "Does that mean you're my girlfriend now..?"

My face turned red, "I suppose." I said shyly.

A muffled gasp from outside the bathroom door was audible and I heard someone say, "Oh. my. GOD! THEY'RE IN LOVEEE!!!"

"Shhhh! They're gonna hear us." another voice snapped.

I got up and helped Bagel stand up, holding out my hand. He took it reluctantly.

"Oh, shit! I think they're gonna leave, let's go hur-"

I flung open the door, accidentally hitting Sofiia in the face.

"Sofi!" Cora exclaimed crawling over to Sofiia and holding her close.

"Oh god, I'm so sorry, Sofi." I bent down to hug her but Cora glared a 'i'm gonna kill you if you touch her' look so I backed away.

Bagel stepped out of the bathroom and nervously said, "Did you guys hear any of that?"

Vivian stood up and stuck out her tongue, "Actually we heard all of it, you guys smooched." she made little kissy faces at Bagel.

"Ugh, you're so annoying, Vivi." he groaned.

"I know." Vivian grinned, beaming.

"Sooo, are you guys gonna go on a date?" Sofiia asked, tears staining her face.

Bagel and I looked at each other and blushed.

Vivian gasped, "I CAN PLAN THE PERFECT  DATE FOR YOU TWO!!!"

"O-okay." Bagel and I said in sync.

So everyone went back into Cora's room to plan for the date.

"ALRIGHT! I'VE GOT PLANNED EVERYTHING!" Vivian exclaimed in pride. The gay was just shooting from her eyes like a lazer, almost killing Bagel with homosexual power.

"Great!" Cora clapped her hands together, "Let's go to bed then, I'm exhausted from all the drama tonight."

"Agreed, Corawine." Sofiia clutched onto Cora's sleeve and yawned sleepily.

Cora would pat her head gently.

"Yeah, I'm alright with going to bed now." Bagel agreed, smiling warmly.

"Me too." I said.

They all turned to Vivian who was making a grumpy face.

"UGH, fine. We can go to bed."

So they all tucked themselves in and fell asleep.
