Our story starts on a planet named Pandora. This planet was home to a species called the Na'vi, tall in height they tower over even the tallest human known to mankind. Even their children are the size of a fully grown adult, blue is their skin or at least for the group of Na'vi that the humans found. These tall blue almost humanoid aliens are or were very trusting of the first humans that came to their planet but that was before and this is now. Now the Na'vi feel threatened by the humans, the humans who ignore the laws of Eywa-the most sacred laws. The Na'vi now know that humans lie-mind you they didn't have a word for lie before humans, we taught them that humans are not kind, that we lie and steal and cheat to get what we want. of ' course there are exceptions for those things but I'm afraid the bad out weighs the good.
The year is 2140 14 years before the events of the movie "Avatar" takes place. Our story will follow a young girl named Sunu (S-U-N-U) meaning "be pleasant" or "bring enjoyment" having been named appropriately due to her sunny nature and always being as sweet as the sweetest yovo fruit on the tree. Born to loving parents her father 'rrpxom meaning "thunder" and her mother atanzaw meaning "forked lightening" were amazed by their daughter who smiled upon seeing them for the first time which is why she was named Sunu. Now it must be mentioned that the clan Sunu was born into was not a clan that stayed in place but rather were wanderers of pandora, never staying in one spot for long they were always moving. In fact this was the longest they had stayed in one spot and that was because atanzaw was in her labor.since they never stayed in one spot for very
Long, it was only natural that they moved the day after sunu was born as part of their beliefs. When sunu was 4 complete moon
Cycles old, her clan found themselves making camp close to the omatikaya clan. Not too close as both clans had respect for each other, while the adults were setting up camp, all the children got together to play a game called "wan si fwew"which roughly translates to "hide and seek" its a fairly common game for parents to teach their offspring mainly to help when the children grow and start to hunt on their own. So sunu was playing with the other children when something caught her amber eyes. "What was it?" you may be asking yourself, well it was a wood sprite or a sign from eywa. So being as young as she is, Sunu started to follow the word sprite deeper and deeper into the forest. Not seeing how far she was wondering,sunu happily followed the Spirit further away from her sempu (father) and sanuk(mother).unfortunately by the time they noticed her absence she was far far away. Now that's not to say that her parents didn't try to look for her because they did, but they found part of her woven shawl that one of the elders had made for her this past eclipse cycle. Seeing this her parents had feared the worst, knowing that the hunters called the "thanator" was nearby made them think that she had been killed by one. so her
Parents and clan members held a burial for Sunu,they stayed for three full cycles then had to move on to another place. Now Sunu had gotten lost yes, but she wasn't dead. She was alive! Granted she had no idea that her clan thought her to be dead, much less that they had held a burial for her.. sunu had followed the wood spirit right into a thanator nest,now normally any na'vi who came close to a thanator usually ended up running for their lives. But sunu just so happened to wonder into a thanator nest, the thanator in the nest had recently given birth to 4 cubs. Now sadly these cubs didn't live for very long.the mother of the cubs had gone out to hunt for food for her offspring and while she was gone, a male thanator had found her cubs and decided to kill them, as he saw them as a threat to his future offspring that he wanted with the cubs mother.the mother thanator who came back from her successful hunt found this unknown male in her territory with her dead cubs surrounding his feet.in a blind rage the mother fought with the cocky male and was winning when he decided to cut his loss and run away. This is where sunu comes in at, lost and alone she couldn't see the danger that was right in front of her. But Eywa was smiling upon her for sure, how else would a predator who would normally try to eat the Na'vi ends up taking the young one as her own child. Now the story begins 14 years later, Sunu is now 18 years old and what we may call "feral", not being raised with other Na'vi has made her more animal than anything. Of course the omatikaya clan had heard the whispers of a feral Na'vi living in the jungle but any time they tried to find her, she seemed to simply vanish.
